Hi,

I have some brightness inconsistency from frame to frame on renderfarm.
Not a texture gamma issue.

Comparing frame/node, it appears that intel xeon vs amd threadripper produce different results.

Using max 2019 with Corona 5.

Have to take some time to setup a test scene.

Hi,

We are aware that there can be some differences rendering on different CPU architectures. It looks like something similar was reported here: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=26069.msg155463#msg155463

It would still be helpful if you could send over a testing scene and some screenshots if you are able to.

Thanks,

Rowan

Upload done : 1574766047_Test-CPU-Architecture.zip

Here are 2 screenshots too.
Intel seems to produce more artefacts.

What exactly do you mean by a render farm? Your own local render farm, or an external render farm service?

Hi,

So the good news is that we now know what is causing the problem.
It is with the dev team and they are looking into a fix for it, but as usual I can't give you a timescale.

Thanks,

Rowan

Hi.  We're having the same issue on a job.

We're using a render manager and it seems like certain systems are rendering differently.  Different colouring.

A few systems may have different versions of corona 6 installed as it may have been reinstalled on them for whatever reason

To be safe I better install all systems with the most recent version but is there a way to see which build of corona I'm running?

I can't seem too see this info anywhere.

Thanks

Hi,

It will be best to install the latest version of Corona (v6 HF1) on all systems as this issue was fixed very close the release of v6.

To find the version you can launch 3ds Max -> Render Setup (F10) and go to the system tab.

btw, if you continue to have issues with this please start a new thread as it may not be the same problem.

Cheers,

Rowan
