Hi Chaos,

We are using Corona 12 and 3DS Max 2024.

After much frustration not knowing the cause, I have discovered 3DS Max 2024 instantly crashes when trying to reload an Xref Scene link, that includes a Chaos Scatter.
This includes toggling the exclude Lights and Camera check boxes, 3ds max will instantly crash out.

Please note, adding a file to xref scene with corona scatter initially does not crash out max 2024. Its only if one tries to reload, remove, and exclude a file with Chaos Scatter in it.
The only work around that we have found, is to rename the file that has been xreffed. It can then be removed from the xref scene without crashing max 24.

Is there a known fix for this? Do we need to revert to an older version of Corona? This issue wasn't apparent in Corona 10.

Thanks,
Daniel

I found the solution: chaos scatter from the previous version of corona, dont work in new version, even is empty you have get crash.
You need to recreate your scatter from scratch
Sorry for my english

Hi,

I just created a scatter with Chaos Scatter coming with Corona 12 HF1, xref-ed it into a another scene, and even while IR was running, tried excluding different type of objects and updating the xref scene. Everything worked fine.

We will either need the scene where this was happening, either very clear steps (which version of scatter the initial scatter was created, has it been converted to Chaos Scatter, which version of Corona and Max etc.). The best will be to get the scene (or a simplified version), of course, and test this on our side.
