Is there a way to animate the Simple Exposure Value in the Corona camera?
It's not the end of the world. But you can see it from here.

Doesn't look like the keyframe button for Simple Exposure works. I did just test that the Photographic Exposure camera settings DOES indeed animate. As I was reminded recently by TomG, you need to add Photographic Exposure to the Tone Mapping stack and you must disable the Simple Exposure option. Now when you select the Corona Camera tag, you can adjust the ISO, Shutter and F-stop like a real camera. I was able to keyframe the f-stop from light (f/2.8) to dark (f/22) with ease. Hope this helps.

I found the same thing, you can animate photographic exposure (ty for adding the info on how to do that BigAl3D!), but not simple exposure.

Thank you all for your responses.
That's quite a pity, isn't it?
Will that ever change?

This is the only way to animate exposure indeed but why it is not enough I don't understand?
It can be done by this way.

I am not sure about C4D, but in 3ds Max you can create a Corona Camera, go to its Tone Mapping rollout, enable "Override", and then animate the values in the floating Tone Mapping window under "Edit".

Hey Maru,

Just tried this, but it doesn't seem to keyframe the Simple Exposure parameter. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

Cheers,

Any news regarding this, it has been a while ? Really troublesome for archviz when you need to shoot many frames of different exposure levels overnight. Should we be expecting this any time soon? Using photographic exposure is the only alternative but it takes so much time to properly set it up cause it is not changing realtime. Feels like back to film days. :)

Hope that someone might reply,
Best regards

"Photographic exposure" renders fine in RT/IV (CRN v10.1).

PS. I use "ISO" alone as substitute for "simple exposure".
