tbh, I'm a bit sick of all those archviz renderings today, but i really like the 3rd image. I would never want to work or live that way, but the colors, light and balance of contrast are excellent. Good work :) !

That is very weird as i have not encountered any crashes in months...  You could try reinstalling everything from scratch, but not sure if that would be worth it for you...

Very well balanced SHD :) Well done. I love that one having the text.
Some words about crashes - Do you have latest servis pack and update for max? This have always made max a lot more stable.
Cheers!

every exact 10 minutes? If you, you are probably using some old version with unfinished autosave option. Try turning autosave off (by setting autosave interval to maximum or changing autosave count to 0)

It's bounce light from the chair as the red surface is lit directly by strong sunlight ;)

Sam75 - Thanks,  black material - is obsidian,
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock.
Pure obsidian is usually dark in appearance, though the color varies depending on the presence of impurities. Iron and magnesium typically give the obsidian a dark brown to black color.
render time - 3-4  hours each frame.
in resolution - 3000x2098px
PC - i7 2600k@4.4
