Max forcing backup
Hi all,
I know this isn't a Corona issue; but I'm hoping to use the brains trust anyway...
I recently had to do a clean install of my entire system. Now I'm experiencing slightly odd behavior with 3DS Max which never happened before.
When I "paste" (using this script:
https://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/maxcopypaste
), 3ds max forces a backup. It isn't an ordinary autoback but rather a "
filename
_backup.max" saved in the original folder (not the backup folder).
Any idea why or how this is happening? As I said before; this didn't happen, so I'm guessing it's not the script causing it, but rather some hidden 3ds max option I'm unaware of.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Max forcing backup
Hi,
maybe scene converter, configured for automatically starting, automatically removing missing assets and with "Backup Original Files" ticked :) Press "x" type "scene conv.." and check lower left part.
Good Luck

Thanks Frood.
I think you're spot on!
Seems to have stopped this from happening.
Cheers mate.
