Does anyone know how to create a slight smokey feel in an interior?
-
Volumetric fog?
An example or reference photo would be very helpful.

If it's just a general haze, then best do it in post using the zdepth channel. Much easier and more control.

Hmmm... I use ZDepth, but only for blur effect.
How do I use the ZDepth to get a haze.
The effect I am after is like the movie: Bladerunner... the interior scenes. They are smokey and dimly lit.

If you want to do that in the renderer:
You can do haze/fog with just a zdepth pass, but those Godrays are very hard to achive with just Z-depth, as the only way I know involves a plugin for after effects.

... and what is the AE Plugin?
And we are talking about a STILL image effect... not a movie effect.
Thanks.
