Hi,
I have notice trees leaves with a double side material, front and back facing, sometimes render lighter. It happens when there is a lot of them, rendering the single tree lots fine, but scatter them and they go pale.
I'll try and grab some screens grabs next time, it happens.

Thanks

Please share screenshots, or even better - a scene. Otherwise it's hard to guess what exactly is going on.
Also, do you mean the 3ds Max native Double Sided material? If so, then do you need to use this material type? Corona FrontBack Map can be used to display different textures on different sides of geometry (however it is a map, so it accepts other maps, not materials) - https://docs.chaos.com/display/CRMAX/Corona+Front+Back+Map
