Can't believe the Gamma operator is not here anymore! Was finally something I could use with the ACS OT which contrast too much and needs other stuff on it to make it work properly.
Such a shame... :(

No worries, we are bringing the gamma operator back just as we discussed it - and in a more artist friendly form so it comes with a couple of other spinners as well :)

Covered in several other threads, including one two days ago :) a)  The operator was temporary and technical, to provide compatibility with color management workflows introduced in the latest Maxes and C4Ds. It was removed once our compatibility was improved. b) One intended for artistic use, with the full Gamma, Lift, and Gain parameters, is coming in Corona 12. Expect it in the next daily.

Try AgX - much more pleasant display transform:

For what it's worth - Gamma operator lets you use lut files in Image Editor in the same manner as in every other software. just makes things simpler for the time being.

Any chance you can share the luts showed in comparison? There's quite a nice balance of contrast and shadows/highlights in that image.

second and third lut is available on ARRI website.
first one is secret sauce for now, not ready for release. sorry.

I uploaded similar lut about a week ago to 3dsMax user’s contributions section - display transform for RED cameras adapted for use with Corona or PS. It might be more convenient to use as it provides few different presets for contrast and highlight roll off.
look luts are also available from RED - there is a lot to play with.

Thanks, will try to test those out.
