Since that's a crash, best to send it to us as described on https://help.c4d.corona-renderer.com/support/solutions/articles/12000033461-how-to-report-issues-c4d

You can include the crash dump (that's the file listed in that dialog), the scene itself helps too, and a description of what you were doing at the time, plus what version of Corona and C4D (the page I linked to describes all the info we'd need along with the report in order to be able to start taking a look into what is going on).

It's best to add this as a reply to the existing thread, rather than start a new thread.

(As a note, the existing thread is https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=32194.0 )

Nope, when you reply to an existing thread, there is the same "Attachments and other options" as when starting a new thread :)

As Tom said, please do not create multiple topics about the same issue. There are many ways to upload the files to the forum and none of them requires to start new thread. If you need assistance with uploading, feel free to ask for help and you will be provided with more info.

Merging topics.

Hello,

I tested this scene and no crash here. I noticed that you have a "industrial estate.hdr" that is not attached to the scene, can you send it here?
Also, what version of corona are you using?

Is it possible to send "C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Maxon\Maxon Cinema 4D R21_64C2B3BD\_bugreports\_BugReport.txt" and "\minidump.dmp" ?

Thank you,
Jan

I packaged the file, you will know when you open it, I tested it today and it crashed again, at frame 17 or at frame 10.

I was able to render to frame 25 with no crashes on C4D r20 on Mac. The only thing I changed with the number of passes down to 10 just to speed things up.

What version of Corona are you using?
Before version 6 HOTFIX 1 I had frequent crashes with hair, especially with the options you checked (frizz, kink, clump, twist ...). Only Hotfix 1 (and later v7 dailies) contain the bug fix.

I am using corona5, the new version is not useful yet, I will not update it temporarily! The V-RAY renderer has been replaced for rendering this hair, but the V-RAY renderer is also very problematic. After 118 frames, the animal's movements are gone, and I can only re-render it. I am tired! Thank you

Corona 6 is a final version, so not sure what you mean by it not being useful yet (e.g. it could solve this crash, sounds like that would be useful just on its own), nor what you mean by why this would be "temporarily" if you update. Unfortunately, there won't be any bug fixes, updates, changes etc. to Corona 5, so your only option for possible fixes is to use the latest version.

Yeah, there is not reason you shouldn't be using version 6. It's still missing some features, but it is a proven stable release.
