Hello all,

I have the same issue, I'm also on a 4k monitor and everytime I try to adjust to get a full view of the img it expands itself to a bigger size showing me just part of the img and scroll bars all over.
so far there's no way to get a full view of the img.

tip: It would be nice to have a lock button in the vfb that will lock to previously size set in the prefs. so everytime we want to resize we would unlock it.

Another bug  is everytime we resize it duplicates the lights in the lightmix tab

Same here,

Also somehow is messing all the lights in the scene even when toggle off the extra lights generated by the bug, the lights are all getting super bright at normal values

One more thing,  the auto adapting resolution by resizing the IR is kinda annoying is there a way to turn off?

Did you try this? ;)



That way does work but is not very practical and like Cambridge said, it doesn't work with instances.

You can see in the videos @ 1:20 min it used to work and it stopped at some point, it would be great to bring back that.

hello,

Quick question here, just recently i downloaded vray to give it a try and notice the assets  from  vray cosmo are resizable just by using the transform tool. The corona version is not resizable, at least on my machine either on mac or windows. The only way to resize the asset is by converting to mesh. Also notice on the video attached that it is very possible to resize by using the transform tool.

Could this be a bug ou a setting issue?

Latest daily release on mac and windows.

Same problem, I start by using interactive render and as soon as I hit Render to final img it crashes. It just closes everything and doesn't create any report..

I tried on v9 latest release, v10 all the versions up to the last one. All crashes the same way.

Currently running on:

latest v10 corona
Latest win 11
latest C4d 2023.1.3

Hi there, does lowering the exposure in the bitmap help?

It does not help, it stays pure white

Noticed this bug in the last 2 daily releases v10s.

I download a HDRI from the cosmo browser and it comes as plain white exr, I tried changing the color profile values, intensity, gamma and nothing happens.

I does work to import from local disk my own hdris, it loads up ok. One thing that is worth mention is that Studios HDRI downloaded from cosmo does work as expected.

I'm new to the windows platform and I share my account with a mac version which works ok. Maybe I'm doing something wrong , Idk.

Also having lots of crashes (closing the whole thing) while clicking to render, unfortunely it does not create any bug reports, even cinema doesn't even notice it crashed and doesn't warn anything to report. Also checked the folder for bug zip.

Latest corona Daily release.

Not sure if you are a long time Corona user or not rafaz, but you would need at least one extra render node for that to be an efficient workflow. If you have been with us from before Corona 8, you may have free render nodes already, but if not you would have to ensure you add one to your subscription. Just as a heads up!

Other than that it should work fine, you can use Team Render to send things over to another machine (or network of machines) for rendering.

i've been with corona since the early betas.

I have done many tests and always the Mac Book Pro M1 Max was much slower than the iMac i9. Always the M1 Max rendered at an average of 750-800% and the iMac i9 at 950%. Apparently, the M1 with better ventilation do not have the %CPU drop problem... I have raised the Mac Book Pro from the work surface leaving the lower central space free and cool and the render times have improved... it takes 1 hour with an average of 950% CPU. I'm doing long-term render tests and I'm buying it with iMac i9 and it's starting to improve a lot in performance. A little below the M1 Max. When I carry out more tests I will be able to throw a percentage or comparative times. I hope I can shed some light on this matter because my workflow is mac and corona and I am so comfortable that I would not want to change it. From what I read, the mac studio does not have this performance drop and it seems to be a very powerful processor. I have the problem on an iMac M1 that I don't know what I can do to improve its cooling or CPU performance. Thanks to all users and the corona team. Thank you for bringing this wonderful rendering engine to mac. A greeting from Spain.

I have my macbook pro on a notebook stand with coolers on the botton and makes no diference.

I'm starting to build a PC :( and will be using it as a render server. Anyone here use this kind of setup, how's the workflow? I'd like to model on mac and render on the PC

Botton line is....


The corona team Don't know how to optimize the render to M1 processors and are the're giving up on trying.

Now what is over the board is you guys trying to blame the system for the lack of knowledge on the matter. I would totally agree if all other softwares like c4d physical and standart render or even blender would cause the same problem but they don't. They took the time to learn and optimize the software as we go and still working on it.

"As software developers, we have no control over the underclocking which is done by the system. We cannot control it in any way."

Maybe you don't have to controll it, maybe just optimize to work it right. We know it's a low demand you guys won't spend the time to work on.

The thing is, further investigation does not seem necessary.
Right here says it all.

It's time to move on.
