I believe this should work, did for me.

In Max with your scene set up and ready to go, start Live Link. Adjust the exposure.

In Max, stop Live Link.

Now use Vantage Anim. Export, set your animation parameters in the Vantage dialog, and it should render with the exposure you set through the Live Link.

Let me know if that works for you.

PS - once the animation had completed rendering, Vantage itself went back to displaying the "too bright" exposure, but all the animation frames were saved with the adjusted correct Vantage exposure.

Just to clarify, motion blur doesn't work where the number of vertices etc. changes. Deforming geometry is fine, but anything where the object is in effect "a different object" in the next frame doesn't work.

Render Node pricing is at https://www.chaos.com/corona/render-nodes#pricing

This happened with Corona 8, in 2022 and announced in advance in 2021 at https://www.chaos.com/blog/corona-in-2022-new-features-visuals-licensing-and-more

As described there, anyone who had a subscription before 8, and who kept that subscription active without a break, still gets the 3 free render nodes that came with earlier versions of Corona up to and including today. Any subscriptions started since the release of 8 though do not include additional render nodes.

Scatter actual lights along a spline? Also the Light Material should be fine used as a main light source, it's Self Illumination in a Physical Material that shouldn't be used as main lighting. In fact Light Material performs the same as an actual light of that shape, except in the case of spheres as the Spherical Light is a mathematically perfect sphere so can be calculated faster.

You are welcome! The support team can dig into the scene once they have a copy, to see what is going on (something they wouldn't be able to diagnose without the scene itself, in a case like this).

I dont think so, chaos scatter lacks many tools, too bad developers don't listen carefully or development is very slow.

Neither :) It's that Scatter is not, and has never been, seen as a way to "replace" Forest Pack. The intention is pretty much what people describe above - to give, for free, a tool that works in a great many cases, so that many people don't need anything else and can also have a simplified workflow; and when extra control is needed then there are indeed third party plugins. Of  course, we do keep enhancing what Scatter can do, but it still is not seen as "one day it will replace..." in terms of its aims, goals, and direction. That would likely be a fairly futile exercise given that the developers of third party tools are companies and development teams dedicated specifically to "software that arranges objects" and they do not also have to develop a render engine :) So they can always push things one step ahead.

I'd say best bet is to archive the scene with assets and send it in, via ticket will keep that private to the support team (https://support.chaos.com/requests/new ) as there is clearly something wrong somewhere in that scene.

Don't forget that for ideas like "halftone" etc. to add (or vote for) the suggestion on the Ideas Portal, https://chaoscorona.ideas.aha.io/ . Also, remember to keep suggestions separate - if you want halftone for Toon AND some other features, please post those as separate ideas, otherwise they can't be tracked (e.g. what if one of your requests is done and live, another is being worked on, and another is not actively in development... if all three suggestions are in one Idea, we can't accurately set a status for it and keep you updated; plus of course other users may be interested in one of those features and want to vote for it, but not in the other two; and so on.

You're welcome! I did accidentally do the same thing myself a couple of times (using the auto install, and so erasing my other installs), so I learned fast haha! Glad you have it all up and running now :)

Just a note, we've explained why it isn't sorted (being able to save directly to EXR) - it's because we use the native Max and C4D save routines, and they limit what data you can add to the EXR. So we use CXR instead, as we wrote that save routine and can easily adjust what it contains and how its formatted. The solution would be to rewrite ALL save routines to be done from Corona and not via the DCC, which is a very large task and would take a significant amount of development time, making it hard to fit into the dev process (as we'd have to give up on developing other things to do it). It's definitely on the to-do list though.

Corona doesn't import multiple cameras from the scene at the moment, and this is already on our to do list. It was hoped to include it in 13 (as can be seen in the still-not-updated-sorry roadmap at https://trello.com/b/EfPE4kPx/corona-tentative-road-map-3ds-max ) but that turned out not to be possible, so it is still slated for some future development.
