If you use Max 2013 or lower, you will have to set output gamma in preferences to 2,2 if you are saving 8 or 16bit formats like PNG, JPG, TGA or TIF, or 1,0 if you are saving to HDR formats like EXR. If you use Max 2014, this should be automatically handled for you.

Biggie Beil:
I use 3DsMax 2014 with Corona renderer , Its too different notes you post rather than i see in my screen !! , no irridiance map to change for example , !!
