@SmurfN seems logical, but all of the assets are on the NAS server, and also, it only happens to the forestpack stuff, nothing else. And also it doesnt happen to all of the cameras, sometimes none, sometimes all of them, I mean I couldnt even find the pattern.

ok, here is a thing, actually we have faced this problem before aswell (in 1.7) and now in daily with different scenarios and different scenes.

We extensively use forestpack plug in from itoo software, and when we render, everything is fine, but as soon as we enable distributed render (not always, for example we did a batch render for around 10 shots, and only some of them had the problem) the forest objects are transparent. We thought it was an license issue, but forestpack actually doesnt require license for DR machines, but still we tried on the main computers which has their license active, but still, it sometimes occur, sometimes doesnt. We hoped it would be fixed in dailies, but still happening. So is there any ideas? And weird thing is, we see this a lot, but couldt find anyone asking for it.

Any ideas?

I see, i actually ask because I know you wrote somewhere you use sigershaders across the network, thats why I wondered, and I had some problems before with the location of textures, so maybe shorter is better.. I dont know. But it looks like you dont do like that, so we will see :) thanks

Hey mate, I have a question,

Right now me and my friend are trying to make a collaborative work, We installed and setup every model in 3d connector, and now we are trying to make the siger shaders for our user library, but we are not sure if we should use like D:/dropbox/maps, or do you think its better to use D:/dropbox/textures/wood/plainwood/...  we are creating every single material we have and most of them are albedo and glossiness jpeg, normal and displacement 16bit tiff (as we just got zapatas bundle :))

Our purpose is to get everything on dropbox on drive S so we can work freely from everywhere only with the max file.

And we know that you are one of the most systematic person in here :) do you have any other suggestion?

Hey dubcat, I want to ask you a kind of technical question, which I cannot figure out exactly.

I have been using your LUTs almost like always :) then I wanted to try, https://masteringcgi.com.au/product/3d-collective-professional-filmic-luts/ this ones from Adan.

And there were 2 folders, sRGB and Linear. And they say, I should use sRGB in corona VFB, and in photoshop and vray I should use Linear. but I have no idea why. Can you a little explain the reason and how can I get the most out of it?

yeah it actually happened to me aswell, my slaves are 2670v1, and main one is i7 7700k.

And also maybe somehow related, when I do region render with the DR active, it also renders the outside of the region with this kind of strips.

Hello I have just upgraded to 2018 after a clean install. But after installing corona I got this problem everytime I open max. how can i solve this?
To solve it I have tried
Repair 3dsmax,
Clean install corona

UPDATE: I uninstalled everything and installed again. And now everything works fine, but this is not an actual solution..

I'm noticing a delay too. I'm running rc8 using corona cameras. What maxstart.max file are you referring to?

maxstart,max is generally a template file. You setup unit settings gamma settings and maybe viewports bla bla, then use that empty file as startup template.

I myself into a little bit animation these days and I wonder

- what is the program you compose it? I was using after effects, but I got tons of errors, and people mostly suggest nuke
- About dof, is it real time or post process? I cannot decide with one is more efficient, since rendering real dof takes tons of time
- at around 00:19 image looks like skipping, I know you use 25fps as its europian standart for tv, but why do this happen? and do you know how to solve it?
- and just out of curiosity, 1 image for 1 hour! it means like 1 second is like a day, how do you manage to do that? When I have similar job, I automatically send it to rebus. Otherwise its impossible for me to finish it.
