Hi,
I'm a new very satisfied Corona user, coming from years of vray it's refreshing to see the speed and ease of use in Corona specially with its IPR and buffer controls!

There's some important major features missing for me/us like VDB support, hair and skin shaders, etc. but one of those small features that we're used to is the triplanar mapping on render time (similar to vraytriplanar). It's such a huge time saver in a lot of scenarios, and just imagining it working with corona's IPR would be a dream come true ! :)

Yes, there's soulburn's blended box mapping but it's an hassle to setup and modify, so having it working in render time would be great.

Do you guys have any plans on implementing this feature for 1.6 or 1.7?

Triplanar was planned for 1.5 or 1.6 release, but then was ditched after Autodesk anounced that they make their own implementation of triplanar mapping :[

Please, i beg you, don't trust Autodesk! Do your own triplanar so it can be used in other software packages too other than 3dsmax :)

update: autodesk is taking ages to release triplanar, so we will do it in 1.6. We have it already working internally, will be in daily builds next week maybe

Would this be implementable into the C4D version or does it rely too much on Max's UV tools?
