I think currently DR+regions combo is not supported. There should be an error message when using it. Isn't there?

Any progress on this?

I'm not getting errors, should there be some?

Sorry for the confusion. On a second thought, I think regions are expected to work fine with DR, and there should be no error messages.
We have this issue logged, and we will fix it ASAP. Unfortunately no news at this moment.

Maybe there is some workaround. Have you tried using native 3ds Max regions instead of Corona ones? Or using the crop/other features from "area to render" dropdown in Render Setup > Common?
