I know that this is very simple scene but I am so happy that Corona has alpha version for ARCHICAD... :-)

Oh, yes - missing textures and materials is the real problem for me. I could fix this in C4D by adding tags but could not save as cgeo and use it outside.
Inside ARCHICAD such proxy will be useless as we have no tools for texturing them again.

My try in Corona 3:

In the long term, we want to revamp proxies to support seamless integration of 3rd party objects, including material and texture information.
Good to read this, thanks. It is extremely important for ARCHICAD users because it is almost impossible to use high poly objects inside a project. So proxies are essential when preparing good quality rendering.

Just checked final version 3 (as demo) and the problem still exists.

Dragging all tags hierarchy from your original to the proxy, fixed the texture error for us.
Hope this helps!

Cheers

Thank you for this solution, tried this also and this works but inside Cinema 4D. When you are going to use Proxie outside (In my case ARCHICAD) this doesn't work.

Corona Proxy does not open .obj files and when opening .cgeo files there is a problem with textures, the textures are not in their place and they are of the wrong color
Did you prepare .cgeo files in 3dsmax or in C4D?

When pressing Reset Settings option ARCHICAD shows corrupted window which is hard to close:

Would be nice to see during rendering actually computed passes:

Thanks for the reply and for the link to this article, I've read this ~5 times :-) analyzing. Checked this in B2 and no textures saved too, unfortunately. Proper .cgeo will be important as I plan to use them in ARCHICAD plugin for daily work.

Hi,
is it possible to save textures and material definitions with Proxies? Now I got no control over it and wondering if I save it the wrong way or this is impossible.

[ARCHICAD] Feature Requests / Re: Material presets
« on: 2018-11-19, 19:11:50 »
The main idea of presets is to simplify the process of creating them. It is one of the most useful function when using Maxwell Render inside ARCHICAD.
When preset is chosen, only the most important options are available, for example: Metal -> Aluminium/Chromium/Cobalt etc -> Roughness value. Easy to understand even for a complete novice, the definition is the same as for complex settings (it is possible to edit it).
Completely another topics for me are:
- import material definitions (from C4D, Max),
- use extended library.

I think that would be great to have some presets for Materials (Surfaces) which simplify settings to minimum.
I use such for Maxwell Render inside ARCHICAD a lot as it is a very fast way for preparing materials.
