Title: Please name threads properly here/in support tickets
Post by: Ondra on 2013-04-10, 17:14:51
I have to orient myself in about 100 bugreports, and using correct names helps a LOT. Thank you.

Example of good names:
Fireflies when using IES lights
Crash whe duplicating Corona Lights
Framebuffer not showing on Windows 8

Examples of bad names
Bug with IES lights
Corona crash
Strange...

Please excuse me.
I with pleasure normally would describe the name, but my knowledge of English doesn't allow to describe a problem correctly.

Fireflies aren't a bug anymore (ie: insect)? Is that kind of like how Pluto isn't a planet now?

Sorry I just couldn't resist (I really did try, honest). Hopefully the one I posted not too long ago was aptly named and apologies if it wasn't. I'll keep this thread in mind if I ever have to report another one. ;)

It is, but there would be a big difference in the information value of "Astronauts landed on Pluto" and "Astronauts landed on a planet" ;)

Don't sweat it, but please use more informative names from now on ;)
