Hi Martin, still investigating, unfortunately. It will crash for me even on a Windows machine. My hunch is that it's related to a material that might be triggering the crash. If all the materials are removed, it will render as expected. A process of elimination is needed to go through your materials to find which one it might be. There's a lot of materials to sort through ;)

Hi Beanzvision, have you manage to find the problem or are still investigating? Can't wait to fire up interactive renderer once again!

I would very much appreciate if you could give me a hint as of to what's going on with the file or if you could tell me how can I fix it. I have a meeting with the client on Friday and would like to start to render out some scenes.

I ended up uploading it with the Dropbox option as I was having trouble uploading the other way.

OS Version: Mac OS Catalina 10.15.2 (19C57)
Coronarenderer 5 Hotfix 2
Cinema 4D RR21.115

Reproduction Steps:
Simply open the file then hit interactive renderer and Corona and Cinema 4D crashes on the preparing geometry stage.

On a specific file I have, Corona crashes when using interactive render. Corona is working fine with other files. What can I do to solve the issue?

Hi,

in the Corona C4D manual in this page: https://help.c4d.corona-renderer.com/support/solutions/articles/12000019795-how-to-use-interactive-lightmix-in-corona-for-c4d-

There's this part: "In particular, raising the intensity of a light by an extreme amount may introduce noise in the image - if this happens, baking the new values into the scene and re-rendering can often give better results."

I don't know how to bake the new values and re render. So please, can someone tell me how can I bake the values and re-render?

Is it possible to Denoise the Rest (unassigned) LightMix channel?

In the Corona Image Editor once I hit Custom Denoise I can't see the option to tick the Rest (unassigned) LightMix channel.

Hi,

I'm wondering if instances are compatible with interactive lighting setups. In this case for example, in my LightMix, I 've got the extrude which responds to changes in the LightMix but the instance of the extrude responds to changes in Rest (unassigned) unless I add the instance to the LightSelect.

Is there a way to only place the master symbol or geometry in the LightSelect and then all instances would follow the changes made to the master symbol?

I want to do this because it is quicker for me to only select my master symbol in my LightSelect instead of selecting all of my instances and placing them in my light select.
