Hi,

Shouldn't "automatic height" keep the height proportionally correct regardless of mapping or tiling?
In this video I used a small cylinder as the node. But when on the pattern, it gets distorted in height.

Can depend on your source object's XForm and similar (that is, the one being repeated as the Pattern).
is the bit that explains the use of pattern height.

Yes. It worked.
Not sure why though, cause the cylinders where a standard Max geometry that I rotated in subobject level at one point, keeping 90 degrees always.
