Hello everyone,

While unchecking the cast shadows of an object the object in object properties ( in this case tree leaves) while it stops casting shadows it also seems to drastically change color as if it becomes excluded from GI.
In my case the lighting source is an HDRI.
Am I missing something?
I tried a rayswitch material and it disabled the gi and shadows itself so no luck there.

If anyone as any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks

Alex

Can you please share some screenshots? You shouldn't be seeing a big difference other than a lack of "self-shadowing" from the leaves casting shadows to their own mesh.

Hello there and thanks so much.
I am attaching 2 screen shots one with and without the cast shadows in object properties.
Do you think the color difference of the needles only due to the fact that they are not casting a shadow on themselves?

Thanks again

Alex
