Corona Renderer 4 for Cinema 4D (Release Candidate 1) is out now!

Everyone with an active FairSaaS or Box with Subscription license has access, and the download is in the usual location:

A Release Candidate is close to being the final release, but we need your feedback to catch any remaining bugs or other issues from real world testing.

Here are just some of the main features in Corona Renderer 4:
  • Caustics: reflective, refractive, dispersion, can be enabled per light, fast to render, and easy to set up with no parameters required!
  • Interactive Rendering in the Cinema 4D viewport (not just VFB)
  • Focus and object picker in the VFB
  • Intel Denoising (AI denoising, on any CPU)
  • "Inside Mode" for Corona Volume materials
  • Fisheye mode for Corona Cameras
  • Support for layered displacements
  • Improvements to Team Rendering
  • Multiple suns for use in LightMix
  • Finalized New Light Solver, and new Image Filtering
  • And more!

For those who have been keeping up with the daily builds, here is the changelog since the last daily build:
  • Added:
    • Show status of interactive viewport in main status bar
    • Support for [1] and [2] modifiers in node material editor mouse navigation
  • Fixed:
    • Fixed random NaNs appearing in tonemapping pipeline
    • Fixed freezes of interactive viewport in some complex scenes when hardware OpenGL is disabled

Please post all bug reports, questions, etc. on the main version 4 Daily Builds thread at https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=23347
