I´m rendering a pool in a room with a lot of artificial light sources.
I haven´t managed to get a good enough result without using caustics so after reading the forum I changed the renderer to Bidir/VCM with BDPT
I´m rendering in 5k and at the moment it´s been rendering 500 passes in 1h30min. It feel like it might take a while for the fireflies to go away. Any suggestions how I may speed it up a bit? Quality doesn´t need to extremely good.

to render this sort of caustics you need to set the mode of bidir to VCM

Thanks. I´ll try that.

Some other questions.

Do lights in the pool attenuate correctly. It might be my setup but it feels like they are being treated like they´re in air.
It also doesn´t look like light that is travelling from underneath the surface gets refracted?

all lights are currently assumed to be in air, so there is no attenuation probably

Allright

I think I´ve seen that you support photometric lights in daily builds?
Does the manual attenuation control work on photometric lights then?
