Yeah... Vray moved all materials to QT, i asked and Corona just took another road which was the cache, but its no better than the QT road..
I am using Corona 9 with hotfixes. Has anyone tried 3ds max 2024 (SME has been rewritten i think) to see if it is any speedier?

While i'm happy with most of the changes in SME in Max 2024, i don't feel that much has been changed in regards of Corona. It still suffers from most of the issues it have in previous versions of 3ds max and itself. Parameter editor is still significantly slower compared to Max'es native renderers and it still gets progressively slower over time. Some UI elements still fails to update while IR is running. I've heard that most of those issues cannot be easily solved by Corona devs, unless they cut support for older 3ds Max versions. Maybe one day, when 3ds Max 2016-18 user base will fall down below certain threshold, we will have much improved Corona experience in SME.

So i ask another question, Will the corona "HQ" denoiser be improved ?
for us the quality in the corona one is not there, i need to go as low as 4% noise for it to work and not mess the image.
As for the intel one i can have fast previews at 10% without destroying the image.
We stopped using corona denoiser long ago for the sub par results even on final images and videos.

Anything to get us closer to fewer nodes.
Not sure why yet, but I feel that;
- Connecting one UV node on the left side of several bitmaps,
instead of
- Connecting several bitmaps into one UV(ish) node on the right side,
is more natural to do. And would probably look more tidy if used in more than one material

Plus it has the added benefit of probably making it easier for converters to other render engines, seeing as this is how it works in several of them already.
Since Corona isn't the best at all sides of Archviz, converting from and to is a must sometimes. (But I guess USD and Material X could help with this down the line)

i would love for the AI to take on these tasks, would gladly leave these photo matching to the computer ...

How does it work for Drone photography? for example the Mavic 2 pro  (l1d-20c) has a "1" sensor " 13.2mm x 8.8mm and a focal length of  10.3mm according to  the web and the exif data
How can i calculate these ??

I would focus first on the lights, the reference one has shaprer shadows, then you need to work your shaders, the reference has higher glossiness materials.

Imagine exposed controllers for those maps, Blender does this in a very cleaver way, is super fast to change settings for a map without accessing the entire node tree

After countless hours trying to solve the  problem the culprit was a corona Decal, is a big decal covering the terrain with an opacity map that only shows a path were i want the decals to show. The problem i think is that the decal that has displacement in it is computing the whole project... So no decal and extra detail for this time!
