[C4D] I need help! / IOR and Fresnel

Can you please tell me if it makes sense to use C4D-Fresnel to control the degree of reflection on inclined surfaces? Or does the Physical material, depending on the IOR value, independently determine the correct reflection on the bevels?
The question arose because, for example, with a standard IOR - 1.5, the colors often turn out to be very faded (depending on the degree of glossiness).

Important question to developers: what will happen next with Legacy Material, it will remain forever as parallel to Physical, or in the future Physical his will completely replace and Legacy will be removed from Corona?
And if Legacy is eliminated in the future, then what about Material Library, where Legacy prevails?

This topic has already been touched upon (1, 2), but it seems nothing has changed.
In Cinema 4D Quixel Bridge supports other render engines, but not Corona.
I do not know who should take the first step to integrate, you or Quixel, but it would be nice if this disadvantage was solved :)

It says here, that Curves has been added to Color Correct.
That's very good. But it would also be nice to add Highlight Compress (as in VFB).
Sometimes it becomes necessary to dim the white at bitmap, so that there is no overexposure. The texture can also be dulled beforehand in Photoshop > Camera RAW, but it would be more convenient to do it directly in Color Correct.
More appropriate is Highlight Compress, but not Filmic Highlights - he just cuts off the white.

The new sky liked it, but it seems you're a little overdone - it's too violet and it's unnatural. Of course can apply LUT, but it's not always convenient, because it will impact everything. Or can use LightMix, but it's again additional movements and don't always need a Multi-Pass.
Therefore, I propose to make life easier for users and add a simple tint adjustment for Sky Improved. For example Green-Magenta Tint or even better Tint (as in Color Correct).
Also hope that you will not forget in the future to add Turbidity, Fog with Altitude and Aerial Perspective.

Hi.
There is an unpleasant feature: Corona Lights do not respond to off Render in Layer Manager. Corona Lights - IR need to restart (VFB normally). But Corona Sun - it is very difficult case.

At first liked the new caustic. But then decided to look at the interaction with water. And then notice that the result is too hard (pictures 1,2). Besides surprised that there are absolutely no caustic settings, only "Enable".
Tried "Caustics only in caustics pass" option, but this method can not achieve (in Photoshop) the desired result, it's limited.
Then looked, how caustics behaves not in shallow water, but at great depth (picture 3) and here clearly shows the same flaws - is too strong.
Therefore, there is a wish: add to global settings "Intensity from Distance" and "Blur from Distance" to allow more control.

When I got acquainted with Corona, liked the ease and convenience of working with materials. But then noted that some functions are not enough. In particular Invert for textures.
1) Screenshot 1. For example VRay in the Alpha channel has an inversion, which is sometimes convenient, but it wouldn't hurt for Corona.
2) Screenshot 2. Even more there is a need for invert function in the Reflection channel, because there are not always Glossiness textures, but instead Roughness. Also for more accurate adjustment (or temporarily turn off) it would be useful Mix Strength.

In Corona 5 liked the new Corona Sky: many functions, conveniently, Physical Sky is now visible in viewport. But in HDRI mode there's no Viewport Preview Size option for texture. Probably this omission and it would be nice to add this option.

Corona 5. Noticed that IR lags behind in development from VFB.
If turn off visibility in viewport using the "Use Deformers", then IR works is a bit inadequate (screenshot 1). VFB is working properly (screenshot 2).
New Override materials. Liked the function, but here again IR is little blunt and shows not what it really is, VFB works well.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Corona 5: Enhanced OpenGL broke down

Corona 5. Activated Preferences > Enhanced OpenGL preview of Corona materials, and then discovered that the .c4d previews in Browser after resaving are empty.
I don't know, maybe it's just me so, because the system and the video driver are old, but this fact is. (Win7 SP1, C4D R18, GeForce GTX 670)

Once upon a time a man was looking for material for the ocean and I suggested such an variant. In Corona v3 everything was fine (image 1).
Recently installed v5, for the sake of interest visualized the old scene and was surprised by the presence of incomprehensible defects (image 2). Started looking for a reason and it turned out that the problem is in the channel Volumetrics (if understand correctly). If the material is applied to one plane, then everything is fine (image 3), but if to composite (Cloner or Grouping), then something incomprehensible (image 4).
Tried instead Refraction apply Opacity - the same (figure 5, for more dramatic Scattering lighter).

Greetings.
When I began to get acquainted with Corona more deeply, noticed that problems arise with Displacement. Very often, it creates defects and to guess the optimal conditions is not easy. For example, inadequate work with bitmap when using tiling with Length U/V. And this is only one of the cases. Below is an visual example. (Cinema 4D R18, Corona 4.1 demo)
It would be nice in the future to fix it. ...or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
