Back in 2010, the work was started as just an attempt to create a pirate's head by reference and nothing more, then it seemed a little, I wanted to make it full-length, and then realizing that there is an "Old Feast", why not make him a ship? I didn't want to go down the banal path and it was decided to do something fancy, a balloon ship, which, of course, according to all the laws of physics, of course cannot fly. There are a lot of creative assumptions in the work, the size of the ball, the different direction of the wind, but all this was done for the composition, and not for the physical realism of which the idea itself no longer exists, so why then follow it?
I did the work for a long time, of course not every day and not every year, creativity in some places rested on technical capabilities because of my laziness. But with the release of modern renderers, it became possible to bring it to mind, which by the way came as a surprise to me, since I thought that I would not finish it and someday I would abandon it, but it did not happen and finally I managed to put an end to it.
For this reason, I want to wish everyone a creative tailwind, no matter what calms it does not stop.

I've always been tormented by one question, why do renderers end up being unrealistic? Yes, there are renders that look similar to a photo, but when you look at a real photo, it is difficult to confuse it with computer graphics.
Is there a problem with the physics of light? Problem with textures? In AA filters? Is the problem in the elaboration of objects? . But even objects created using photometry do not look 100% realistic. 99.98% of the works are not given out by realism, and 0.02% are recognized if they are compared with reality. Where is the Achilles' heel and why is there still no render that would realistically be able to render an empty room without details and at the same time it looked like a photograph, even if it was just a white clean room?

[Max] Feature Requests / Open CXR file in VFB corona

I would like to request a feature, the ability to load a CXR file into the Corona VFB window, it is very lacking when working with heavy scenes, where a lot of memory is used and preparing geometry takes a long time. I use the "Resume file" function, after which 3ds max immediately starts rendering, loading geometry, and so on, I have to immediately press cancel, so that in quiet mode I can set Regions. This procedure takes up working time.

And there is an opportunity to fix such a problem. I have a project that counts 30 hours, halfway through I noticed that I didn't turn on the grass, I stop the render, select the Regions section, count to the noise value I need, stop the render, remove the Region, click the render ,the render starts counting from the beginning, instead of continuing. I would be very grateful if you would implement this features

I found a problem!
Create any object, apply any modifier that bends the geometry, animate the curvature, just animate the scale, apply CoronaLightMtl, turn on the motion blur, click render and watch as crashing 3ds max. This only happens with the CoronaLightMtl material.

Found problem. Corona Scatter does not support the CoronaUvwRandomizer map if it is inserted in the Random distribution slot and in the Scale map slot.

I noticed this problem when I began to re-render the old scene performed back in Crown 4, and now motion blur is now considered.

Not a big life hack, how to put the camera inside the object to which the material "Corona Volumetric" is assigned and at the same time, so that the fog works. I share my discovery that I made a long time ago and have never seen or mentioned it anywhere, even here.
Create a small sphere, for example, ~ 20 mm in diameter and throw it in the center of the camera, attach the sphere with Edit Poly to the box on which the volumetry lies and that’s all, for an aesthete, you can invert normal in the sphere. The camera will be located inside the empty “bubble” and everything will work. In order for the “bubble” to move with the camera, in Edit Poly select this “Bubble”, assign the Linked Xform modifier and assign a camera in its parameters.

For developers, maybe this principle can be implemented somehow in the program code, since it is a rather necessary function! Moreover, all renderings can, Arnold, Vray, fstorm, corona render not.

I often use compact material editor and it would be convenient for me to display OSL maps in the list of materials. I was told that this is probably a 3ds max problem, not a corona render.

Please understand my situation and solve the problem as soon as possible. It seems that tech support does not understand what happened. All day I can’t work and I don’t know how long this situation will last. My project could fail. That's what happened:
There was a problem with the license. My card details have changed due to which the auto payment did not go through. I went into my personal account and made a purchase using a new card, the money was withdrawn from the account, a letter with confirmation of payment was sent to the mailbox, but for some reason the payment data did not change in my personal account. As a result, the product is paid for, but I still can not use it.

According to our system, the payment has failed due to the card being marked as expired. Can you please check that the ard is still valid. If you have a new card you can update your customer zone information by doing the following:
 
Please try the following:
1. Visit your subscription management link
2. Go to "edit subscription" > "update payment method"
3. Enter your payment information again
4. Save the changes
If this is successful, then the "update payment method to avoid cancellation" warning will disappear.
If this is not successful, then you can purchase a new subscription, and then we can cancel this one.
Please notify me once you update your payment method, and I will then check what is the status of the issue.
