BTW, what is the proper way to use Thin Film. Plug it in refl color and adjust fresnel IOR in material or set fresnel IOR to 999 and adjust film IOR in ThinFilm map?

7502
Yes, but somehow i find that variable film IOR gives more pleasant result, than thickness alone. But it may be due to the fact that i tested your plugin only briefly. I'll give it another try.

For now, you should be able to prevent crashes by rendering with "Lock 3ds max during rendering" on in system settings. I will see if I can sort this out somehow.
For me it's mostly happening when not rendering. Not sure if lock 3ds max will help, but i will give it a try.

Just tried it and it's not helping. Max still crashes as soon as texture is saved in ps.

Find some time to play with this plugin. Love it. One little thing i'd like to be improved, is mapable IOR.Film. Is it possible?

[Max] I need help! / Re: Noisy interior

IES is by default on, but there's no map-could that be a problem?
No. That checkbox doesn't matter as long as you didn't assign ies file to light.

There's a corona light background cylinder to fake outdoors.
That could be a problem if you didn't take care to assign proper material to it. Take a look here how to do it properly: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000515605

I think it more of a texture filtering than a uv mapping problem. You should decrease bitmap filtering size on that fabric texture.

[Max] I need help! / Re: Slow render with carpet
« on: 2015-05-09, 10:26:37 »
It looks pretty much normal to me. Your carpet occupies almost half image area, so it is expected to have significant impact on render times. One thing you can try is to reduce polycont of carpet. Unless you plan to put a camera inside a carpet, you can simplify fibres model a lot, like a ten times and you still couldn't tell a difference.

You can try arionfx plugin for pfotoshop (there is a demo). You can add nice looking glare to bright pixels or simply get rid of them. It works very nice 9 times out of 10 :]

[Max] Resolved Bugs / Some testing needed

If you have some free time, could you try to replicate a bug that is shown in video below. For me it's 100% reproducible in max 2014. Ondra says it works fine in max 2016. Some testing would be appreciated.

[Max] I need help! / Re: please help me understand proxy
« on: 2015-05-07, 09:02:55 »
#2. export one chair as a proxy and use instances of that proxy to populate your scene. If you already have chair objects scattered in scene and don't want to manually replace it by proxies, you can use substitute modifier for that. Select all chair objects add substitute modifier and pick a proxy as a substitute.

It is. Use max2013 plugin files.
There's a reason why version number in daily builds was reduced: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,7991.msg53026.html#msg53026

No need for this angry attitude. It is registered as a bug and surely will be fixed eventually. You have to understand that small dev team cannot fix all issues at once. Give them some time and give some respect too.

I can't see ugly noise you're mentioning, but i see you're using reflection override. You may want to disable it to check if it's related to this bug: https://corona-renderer.com/bugs/view.php?id=932

3) Convert the Glossy value to Grey scale value ( Glossy .3--> Grayscale 76.5)

I guess you wanted to say: convert glossiness value from 0-1 to 0-255 range?
