Dear all,
i need to create a furniture with two color (green & white). i got note that these color is a main theme of the collection
, so i have to seriously pay attention when setup the color on my scene.
Reference color from client, http://rgb.to/pantone/3272-c & http://rgb.to/pantone/uncoated/7527-u
How to input those value to diffuse color selector regarding corona performance debugging
, which explain that maximum value for white is 180,180,180..?
i know that whiteness value of the image i produced will be much affected by lighting setup & it wont look as same as the client has referenced.
but it is very important to keep the ratio value of white to green.


i hope you guys all understand to every detail of my explanation (cuz, my english is very bad).

Tricks...there are no tricks, that's the benefit of Corona, there are no secret settings you need to discover. Just abide to proper rules that are renderer-agnostic.

Big Agree with you Juraj, thats why Corona seems so shiny to me!!
Sngan, Speed is a conditional reference, when or how we need the production quality. just like maru said.
It's much better if you share the result pics. So, many of expert here that can help you review this case.

i have 3 computers, but the two computers only used for DR only. do i have to buy only 1 license or .. are there another "DR only" packet to buy?

oh, so it's just a glass that actually has caustic (in real world), and if the caustic effect removed & replaced with transparent shadows, then it named hybrid glass. ok i got it.

AMD's most powerful CPU in mainstream segment is ridiculously clocked FX-9590 ("pseudo" 8-core, it's more 4 clusters), which at  5GHz @ 220W clock !!! is 10perc. slower  that 3.5 GHz @ 115W 4770k (4 core with HT).

i have no other amd cpu than fx6300. so i can't check the performance comparation.

i hope there will be a chance for me to benchmark (render) those both CPUs.
i'm not AMD fanboys and intel too. and i think processor with TDP 220w is ridiculous things.

i never do some research / comparation about rendering performance of both kind of CPU. i have 4 PC station, AMD fx6300, i7-4770, i5-4570, i5-4570. i think AMD isnt behind intel CPU, unless we disregards the CPU prices..
CaptainObvious, just like i said before. you should do a research about renderingperformance on CPU. so that, it makes your words more accurate & more valuable to be read. whenever you done this, you may share the result here please..

but thats doesnt even matter whatever anyone said.. i have never get disappointed by AMD's performance.

then... yes keymaster, keep up do your best to improving corona's performance & quality. AMD is the other priority, but dont delete it from your schedule.

according to note on self-illumination material feature, it say "don't use this feature as the main light source in your scene, but use coronalightmtl instead".
what is the difference of Self-illumination feature with CoronaLightMtl?
on the creating photorealistic CGI case, when will we do need to use Self-illumination feature instead of CoronaLightMtl?

Dear all,
I'm using corona with distributed rendering as usual and have never had trouble before.
main PC: i5 4570, RAM4G, Radeon R200, win7 SP1, max14 SP5, corona A7.1
slave PC: i7 4770, RAM4G, Radeon R200, win7 SP1, max14 SP5, corona A7.1

few days ago, i add a new PC as a slave PC. the specs is i5 4570, RAM4G, Radeon R200,  win7 SP1, max14 SP5, corona A7.1
i install max, corona, just same like before.. then i add this new PC via search LAN and it is appeared on the main PC (slaves replying correctly). but when i hit render, the new slave is failed to work (older slave run without any problem).
i rechecked again and all PC has the same OS & max version/SP.
what is the problem?

When first implemented, embree made waaay bigger difference in Corona than 30% - it is líke some crazy unicorn pony magic!

I also tested embree on an AMD rig, and it was not significantly slower. I suspect Corona is slower there because I only develop and optimize on Intel. Maybe sometimes in the future I will try to optimize also on AMD.

yes keymaster, that would be nice if corona is optimized for AMD
i believe that many of corona users are AMD users too. always wait for this development
