I think I know where is problem. Can you confirm object reappears once you do any modification of corresponding material (e. g. change color or double click material preview)?

Is there a way you could make a check box "Do not override" in the material properties? This way if someone is using sky object + material with HDR applied it wouldn't get overwritten.

changing the colour makes the object come back, or checking the reflect box, etc.

I've found the interactive render quite prone to crashing C4D. Would you recommend starting older scenes again from scratch with A4?

Is there a way you could make a check box "Do not override" in the material properties? This way if someone is using sky object + material with HDR applied it wouldn't get overwritten.

Oh I've missed a exclude/include input below the "override material" check box. This solves the issue with skye + HDRI.
And it's working fine now!

Light material doesn't work in A4 with C4D sky. I tried to use portal with it.
 Standard material with HDR in emission chanel, whith corona portal work good.

Poor working bump, we have to set the value in 2000 - 3000%, for the appearance of relief. Channel reflection, as has begun to lose. Interactive rendering slow and bad displays a map hdri

maybe because everyone was cryng to see a new realease? the problems ppl are talking about 90% of them was reported in the beta testing. So maybe next time Ondra should ignore all the ppl asking for a new realease and just realease when there is a solid realease to do it, so he and the ppl behind the testing will not need  to read stuffs like "i wonder, what they test" and stuffs like that.

Personally, I'd stopped the development of the IR for the moment. I know - it was voted, so just my personal opinion. But: IR is the icing on the cake, which can be done at the end. For the work would be more efficient distributed rendering, scatter plugin, proxy plugin. Because how much time it will save the IR throughout the project?

If the IR has problems now, let's get back to this later. But as I say, this is just my opinion. But on the other hand, developers should be able to do more necessary things which we are waiting too.

Otherwise, thanks for the instrument through which I do not have to be a scientist amateur :)

I agree! not time to IR
Scatter, proxy, fullwork blend2blend, inc\exclude affect lights from any channel any objects, more options in compos tag etc.

Ok, here is summary for few problems mentioned here

1. Bumpmapping - the changes in bumpmapping were done to address previous reports that it was too strong and also its strength was inconsistent with various types of shaders (for example different behaviour between texture and texture under layer shader). As of now, it should be providing the same effect as bumpmapping in normal C4D renderer - in fact, it is using same algorithm as C4D does. If you have some scene where you believe bumpmapping is really too weak (in comparison with the same shader in C4D renderer), please let me know (relevant bug is at https://corona-renderer.com/bugs/view.php?id=1330).

2. IR - please keep in mind that this is only initial version of IR. It is one of the things I am currently working on and I hope to fix most of the bugs here during next few daily-build releases.

3. Texture mapping in render preview - Ok, you are right this shouldn't get to public release. I am fixing it right now for next daily build...

4. Distributed rendering - I cannot promise when the proper distributed rendering will be added, but I will try to add at least support for team render in A5...

2. I am not sure what you mean by this?
3. Sorry for this one, see previous post.
4. Like I said in previous post, IR is still in early state, but have tested instancing in IR (in fact, lot of my testing scenes for IR have instances). Again, do you thing you could provide some problematic scene?

Hi there! Congrats on the amazing work you're doing with corona in general and corona for c4d in particular...
I'm currently having a bit of an issue with light portals and A4...They were working perfectly fine in A3 but they now render as regular white planes, effectively stopping the light from entering the scene.
I don't know if this is a problem that's only occuring to me as it seems that it hasn't been mentioned before on the forums - or if it's a real bug.
Also: is there any way to redownload A3 as it seemed to work better for me?

I believe the rate of the progress is quite good.
Really wish I could say the same for the maya plugin.. Seems like it's much harder to implement..

Though I would really like to see the new displacement features working..
As of now, faces with more than 90 degrees angle difference get separated when using displacement..

We(me and my workers) love this render engine and we are waiting for it. Everyday we heve been refreshing this page for any news abouth this But at last times noone give back any response....

We have an idea that can help you for development prosess but we dont know other users  agree with us or not

maybe you must open preorder section for C4D users

You can throw money on the fire but the water will not boil any faster.

Patiently, test anything you can think of, do extensive analysis, research and reports to bug tracker. Create, prepare test scenes, some complex materials, libraries... make amazing renders, correspond with each other, create scripts that will make the workflow faster. At least make a thread with suggestions. Organize. Motivate. Share.
You already got an amazing tool at your disposal so -
Don't just seat staring at the screen hitting F5... F5... F5...

If you'd pay attention to what the team is doing you'll notice they are hard at work, almost non-stop. Help by taking action and maybe it will be done faster.

Hi, sorry for the long time without answers. We are currently finishing Corona version A4.1, which significantly improves stability and fixes many bugs. Here are a few things you can look forward to:

 - Added missing rayswitch map
 - Fixed crashes with AO shader inside displacement
 - Fixed freezing when interupting viewport rendering in preparation phase
 - Faster termination of renderer (when manually interrupting and in IR updates)
 - Fixed bumpmapping having incorrect direction in some scenes
 - Fixed compositing tag not being applied to objects without material
 - Fixed material override not being applied to objects without material
 - Modified threading system for IR (partial support for continuous updates)
 - Fixed crashes caused by SLA shaders used in refraction (IOR channel)
 - Fixed problems with emission in default C4D material
 - Fixed problems with Corona submaterials used in emission slot
 - Added Corona error report dialog and improved logging
 - Fixed several memory leaks
 - Fixed bumpmapping transformation (was affecting bumpmapping apperance in some scenes)
