Hey folks!

First off, thanks to the team for such an awesome render engine! Amazingly simple and beautiful results.

I was looking at building a machine that would run Corona and assumed that being a CPU renderer that more CPUs would obviously be better. However in practice what I found was that my 5 year old home system with an i7 920 with 6GB ram or something like that, rendered a simple product viz style scene (basic tv, with glossy materials on a reflective glossy floor and 3 corona area lights) slightly faster than my work system, which is a dual Xeon E5 2643 and 12GB ram.

Is it just that on such a simple scene that the extra power awarded by the Xeon's is not noticeable? Would I notice a much bigger difference on an interior scene that relied on indirect lighting more?

I just thought it was odd, and was quite disappointed to not see my render time halved!

It shouldn't be that way, re check with another scene.
The frecuency and core count  is higher on the xeons you use maybe some problem here?
