The cloud shadows do not seem to work - RC3 - macOS - C4D 2023

Beanzvision:
Hi, can you try this scene and share your results?

BigAl3D:
@Core2000 I found a couple things for you. Your scene is set to use the Standard C4D engine. Whoops. Also, I believe your scene clouds are there, but just not in your view. Try playing with the Clouds Position settings and soon you will see a shadow creep into your scene. I dropped the Sky and Sun from Beansvision's scene and at first, it looks like it's also not working, but the entire view is in a large shadow. You can offset, reduce the number of clouds, raise their altitude, etc. to your liking.

rafaz:
Hello,

I also tested and it does work but, the camera has to be so far out in order to see it, it's a bit strange

BigAl3D:
Yeah, I see what you mean. I think we have to learn how to force this system to make what we want. For example, the altitude only goes up to 5,000 feet. One thing I tried was adjusting the cloud height. This greatly affects the shadow effect.
