Title: Does Corona 9 use UVW Hair ?
Post by: conna2005 on 2023-05-28, 17:03:29
I wonder if Corona finally uses UVW Maps for rendered Hair and Fur.

I startet a Project in Redshift and worked wíth Animal Fur. My last Version of Corona had Problems with Multicoplored Fur.

I hoped that they allready fixed it.

Here are some renders with a Cheetah. Made in Redshift Cinema. If Corona finally accepts Multicolored Fur i would be pleased.

Hi there, this is an over-exaggerated example, but yes, it should work if you place your texture in the diffuse channel.

Hi Beanz, what are the recommended settings for fur?
I was making a cat recently, trying to use the diffuse colour in various slots of the hair material, but it always looked far too glossy - almost metallic.

Hi there, a shiny coat means a healthy cat! ;) Do you have something in mind you're after? In the thread linked below I assisted a user is getting a better look with their cat fur (hair). Feel free to check it out to see if it may help. I'll also link our hair guide as it should also be helpful. And as always, fire off some questions if need be. ;)
