[Max] General Discussion / Corona licence_ Running two scenes on the same computer

Hi Guys

If I run two instances of Max on my same laptop
I get an error that all licenses' are being used.
I was looking at another similar question but did not see an answer

In many instances I am busy with one scene and whilst that renders I carry on with another scene, it seem I can only run one instance of Max ?

Hi all

Can I kindly ask what the fuss is about ACES ?
I understand that its a standardized color space and of such importance that its set to default.
For me however the render becomes way too dark and overly contrasted. which makes me think I have setup light and textures very wrong for the last few years.
Do any of you actually make use of it or immediately untick and proceed with older color space ?

Looking forward to some responses.

Hi all

Just wanted to showcase how excellent and easy the new decals work.
The road markings and pavement details were all made with corona decal and what use to take hours in PS is just drop and drag now : )

[Max] Daily Builds / Corona render 8 splotches

Hi there

Apologies if this is the wrong thread.
Last night I tried Corona 8 and I found it first and foremost a lot faster but a client actually pointed out to me that there is strange splotches on the image
I did use 4k as secondary solver and It happened in a few images. Is this something I am doing wrong ?

Hi Guys

I've recently acquired an HTC vive and tried my hand at a Pano.

The model is accurately to scale but it seems when I put on the head set to view the room, it seems out of scale. ( almost double )
I am attaching the Panos if someone wants to try it.
Is there something I am doing wrong ( apologies guys first time I have tried this )

Hi Guys

Need some help.
I need a tree with no leaves and I thought this might be a simple case of selecting the leaves and delete , but all of my tree collection
it would seem are collapsed.
How can I select all the leaves at once or all off the branches at once in order to delete the rest.
Hope I am explaining this correctly,

[Max] I need help! / [solved] Corona Proxy_Car

Hi Guys

I need to make a render with loads of cars in a parking lot
Obviously the viewport gets too bogged down with lots of detailed cars in the scene.

When I try to proxy the entire car it only does portions like the body or the windscreen.
I tried collapsing the entire model and attaching as one, but then it loses its textures

I tried searching the forum to no avail, is there a solution to this ?
Can anybody please assist : )

[Max] I need help! / [solved] Strange lines

Hi Guys

Please help ? , Lately when I work in 3ds Max I constantly get these lines connecting everything and is a complete mess in the viewport
At this stage I press CTRL A and select everything, then select the specific object for these lines to disappear, only for it to reappear a few minutes later,

I have attached a screen shot to show what I mean

Any help would be highly appreciated

I need to render a wire frame for a client but he only wants the wire frame not the body ( hope that makes sense )
I am attaching the bath I did and the reference image he wants ( the post box )

How do I render strictly the "wire"

[Max] I need help! / Pannellum Panorama

Hi Guys

I have recently started to experiment with 360's and tried to read up on the Corona forum, only find relatively old articles
The majority of viewers has a monthly fee which I can understand but I will just not use Panos so often to justify that.
Pannellum is an open source site I have found but I am just not sure how one would go about using it.
Has anybody had any experience with the software. From what I understand you need to have your own web hosting and
paste the source in there? Would I be able to make use of this software if I use Squarespace or would I need to have deep
insight as to actual web development.
