Hi.

I could not find any info about this. A renderblade uses a full Corona license and prevents me to use it in production. I want to kick this Computer now so the license is free. How do I do that?

It shouldn't use a full Corona license, just a render node - assuming you have a separate render node that is? If you don't have a separate render node license, then indeed the render node part of the full license will be in use.

Also, a full license will be consumed if you open Max or C4D on the render node though, but as a render node you don't need to do that (just run Backburner Server on it, rather than opening Max). Simply closing Max should free the license in that case, and indeed stopping  rendering and closing the backburner client should also free the license.

Let us know more details on the situation, ie do you have a separate render node, etc.

Thanks

I know. it should not use a normal license. We have two Renderblades here. both with the same setup. Only one uses a full corona license as well as a Rendernode license. Both controlled via Deadline. both in slave mode - without UI. Now one of my collegues has no license. I need to kick the Renderblade! (and make suree it does not use up a full license in the future)

I actually had to purchase another license now just to cope for the lost one used up by a renderblade. It would be very good to have a solution to this.

Hi there,
Did you already submit a support ticket?
If not, I'll suggest submitting one, since personal information might be required.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Hi, as my colleague Bnji mentioned, please submit a new support ticket here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Since this is a licensing/payment-related question, most likely we will not be able to assist you over the forum.

We would also need some more details - for example, in the past, when using some 3rd party render managers, there was a glitch which engaged a full license on render nodes. The solution would be to fully update Corona and the render manager software. Please include this information, as well as any other information on how exactly you are rendering and what your setup looks like, in your support ticket.
