Yesterday i was rendering an image, just for test and trying to get a better caustics and this is the result

Pass 851 + AO Shader

To get more accented caustics, increase max sample intensity value, and use strong, small light sources. You also need to enable caustics in glass material (I hope you know that already). There is also no point in using ao here.
