I am making these books, I been comparing them to the ones I have. I guess I been staring at them for too long. Please comment so I can improve them

I think they look ok. Just two comments:
-looks like they are all equally thick
-the block of text on last image looks ugly, I think you should justify it

I am kinda justifying it differently on all the books, and  I am also going to adjust Height, Thickness Randomly when I am finished. I was concerned about the reflection, but I solved the problem. I know some render people want their stuff matted and others super reflective. So I made the material so that a person can set their own reflections globally without affecting the diffuse map. So in theory you'll  turn off glossiness to boost your rendering in animation and perhaps turn it back on to do some close ups. These will be free for download, coming soon. I am designing all the covers too.

These looks good already. I'd just add subtle bump to them.

Will you make softcover books too?

They look like books... if that was desired, then it works.

Nice. I love how subtle surface imperfection brakes down reflections. Much much nicer that currently over-used effect of using drastically contrasted dirt/concrete map in reflection/glossy slot//russian style.

That's a Math/English/Barnes and Noble book finish, but sure enough its a good one. The nice books like Phaidon and Taschen  have smoother glossiness.

Anyhow my books will be able to render on all systems CORONA, VRAY and MENTAL RAY

The Architect Series Books...Lebbeus is my favorite cat, Neimeyer too. I never really understood Legorreta, He's a prized architect but not much evolution on his own behalf, he closely shadowed Barragan and captured his same force, but I still dig it. luckly I have a Legorreta work in my city I stroll by tomorrow.

Since most people (including me) just buy these books to never read them I think they are ok ? The important thing that makes them look good on cheap Ikea Expedit/Kallax is there ;- )

:D Oops, I actually read them, I notice most render artists like to include their persona in their art, So I usually go around the image and check out what books they are placing in their scene. I noticed Betrand likes to include Interior design books, and there even one book on shadows in one of the scenes. If you look, I think you'll find it interesting when you see an Alvar Aalto book and the render scene tries to mimic it. Just stuff I notice....

The monochromatic books will look good on the Ikea style since that's the trend. There will be plenty of BW Phaidon type books, and other like the 90's lebbeus cover.

Good day mates
