Everything is good and sound !
Only one word of advice, if you want to have 128GB (8x16GB), buy two sets like this: 2x(4x16) instead of 4x(2x16) if possible. (single 8x16 set is the best, but harder to get, sometimes more expensive and doesn't exist for some series like Corsair LPX).
With the latest AGESA (AMD microcode updates), memory compatibility is very good, but if you can avoid potential trouble, why not doing so. With two sets you have better chance of zero issues, than with 4 sets.
Corsair LPX is good series, the Corsair RGB Pro is basically the same, but with fancy heatsink. What is important is just clocks & timings. 3000 MHz and CL15 is perfect and you will not get faster memory to work on 128GB.
Also, don't worry when installing CL15 memory that was tested to work @CL15 in 64GB configuration will give you booting trouble in 128GB, you just have to up the CL from 15 to 16 for Threadripper.
I speak this from experience, I built 2990WX on MSI MEG, with Corsair RGB 4x16 3000 CL15. 7 months later, only RGB Pro is available, so I bought another 4x16 3000 CL15 set. After setting the CL to 16, they now work as 128GB @3000 CL16.
Corsair LPX, RGB, RGB Pro use the same modules, only Dominator is binned from different chips. The memory that I use is internally from "B3000C15" and "C3000C15" revisions, so two generations and they work fine together.
(So I use CMW64GX4M4C3000C15 and CMW64GX4M4B3000C15 together, but you can directly buy CMW128GX4M8C3000C16).
You can of course try looking at your motherboard memory compatibility lists to be 100perc. sure...but those are very limited when it comes to tested 128GB kits, but if they tested 64GB kits, 128GB will probably work 95perc. of time, mostly also with revisions (B&C&D,...) but not perfect guarantee there. Same for B-Die finder from Usmus, there aren't many 16GB dual-rank kits and you don't need them. I don't use Samsung B-die memory and everything works perfectly. Buy from good seller where you can easily return if you come to booting issues.
The only 128GB b-die kits are from G-Skill, see if you can find them for good price (<900 euro for 128GB kit).
