Installed the latest daily and wxWidgets are still causing problems. :( :(

Freshly installed the latest daily and upon DR render I encountered the following error message:

An internal error occurred: wxWidgets assertion failure. Please, report this problem to us.

The RC2 is having issues with the DR. All slaves are freezing in the middle of the render.

Since the animation was done at 24fps, you could extrapolate a few more frames with AE as there are not dramatic movements, and it's all prolonged. It might happen or not, it's Russian roulette.

I have just installed the latest build, and the viewport render selection is not working as it should. Randomly chooses to render or not while no indication of the render time or noise levels is provided. It literally showing blank space.

I had like 20 crashes just today, sometimes after first change to single light in IR.

Reverted back to 4(Hotfix1) and everything is ok again. Half day of work and zero crashes again.

I had 7-29 Daily build, not the latest, and..was there any before the 29th? So the culprit is absolutely there.

Yes and I had the same experience with the latest daily too
We're with 4.1 too. The latest build is unstable and nearly not ready. One the flaws are the normal maps module; it's just not working.

Hello there,

I'm using Backburner for animation rendering with my 24-nodes small renderfarm.
I'm ok that it sends one frame on each server at a time, then send a new one after each finish.
But now i'm rendering a heavy scene, with a lot of vegatation(instanced and scattered proxies).
The "scene parsing" (Corona Render's first part) takes 2-3 minutes each frame, and this part would get benefit of sending several sequenced frames to each server :
instead of render frame01 to node1, frame02 to node2, it would be ok to send frame01-50 to node1, frame51-99 to node2 and so on.

There are 5k frames to render, so those 2-3mn per frame for doing the same thing is a lot of lost time : that could be kept in memory for the next frame, like if i've rendered full anim locally on my PC.

So my question is : is there any setting / param (in xml or prefs) to tell Backburner to force sending 50 frames at once to each server ?

Two months ago I had the same problem and solved it with the decision to load 3500 frames divided equally on all nodes. So each node rendered a part of the sequence without using the network, but as a separate workstation. Saved at least a few days of waiting in parsing time.
