« on: 2018-10-11, 11:28:01 »
Hello Forum,
so i would like to know how you handle big Projects with a lot of diffrent cameras, Lightning etc. I do have to render about 30 images on a render farm. Has anyboy some advices how to set up so i can send it to the farm? Do i have to set keyframes an change Kamera Lightning etc. via the stage object, or is it possible to feed the Render Manager with all the particular settings? Would be nice to hear some experiences.

Thank you
Christian

[C4D] Feature Requests / Autotiling for Big Size Renderings
« on: 2018-09-08, 11:29:23 »
Hello Forum,
so i wish to have something like a autotiling for biger sizes. I often do renderings with about 20000px and currently it is not possible to render this resolution until i tile the image in more than 10 pices via tiled camera script. Maybe it is possible to split the image in multiple parts so that rendering is possible without tiling manually every time. I do have 120 GB of Ram but its not possible to render images in this size. So this would be a hugh time saver.

Thank you for all your effort
Christian

yes, i know about the scaling and offset. if i render without the tiled camera, everything is fine, i think there is no need to adjust the scaling in the environment settings cause the problem comes from the tiling camera or am i wrong?

Hi Forum,
so i once again have to render a big resolution image. The last time i rendered with the tiled camera solution which works perfect. This time i have to change the background and this seems to be a problem when working with the tiled camera and the Corona environment overrides. I set up a different Background and link it to the "Direct visibility override" with Frontal Mapping in Corona settings. If i now render with the tiled camera the background repeats for every slice i render. see the images for clearing things up. Does anyone have a solution on this? I thought i could manage it if i render the image with alpha mask an then compose the backplate in photoshop, but this dosnt work also because the alpha channel is very chunky at the edges. I get a 1px white line all around my masked objects. Please have a look at the image in attachment. I currently have no idea how to solve this issue and hopefully someone run into the same problem and have a tip for me.

Thank you
Christian

Is it possible to add the feature Cast Shadow and Send Shadow like in Vray for the compositing Tag? Currently it is possible to exclude a object from Shadow, but sometimes its helpfull if a objects receive shadow but dont generate them.

Thank you

ok thanks for clearing this up. Maybe this is useful to put in the description of "How to use Light mix".

Thank you very much

Ok thank you for all this usefull thoughts. I follow your advise and bake the lights into the scene.  Once i hit the ">Scene" button i cant go back to my original light setup isnt it?
DO i have to save a backup file ore is there an other way to setback all my lights to the initial values means killing the baking Information somehow?

thank you, baking will be the next thing i would try.

So what would you suggest when it comes to render such big sizes. I noticed that even with a simple setup, for example a cube and 2 lights, it takes so much more time to render. I dindt work with vray for a long time, but i remember that there was not such a big time shift when it comes to render big sizes. Is this a point which will need more development or am i doing something totally wrong?

Hello Forum,
i do have to render a scene in 20k and  unfortunately i get error messages all the time which say 'to less ram'. I have 128 gb of ram in my machine but i cant render higher than 13K.
The scene is nothing special. Its a parkdeck with some pillars, a floor and some walls. Two of the Materials have displacement material. I do have about 15 light sources and one hdri as my main light. I put all the lights in the multipass light mix selection and applied denoising to them. So usually i render in Corona vfb and save out my images as exr. Is this the way to go or is it better to use c4d picture viewer instead?

Any suggestions would be very fine, thank you.

Cheers
Christian

Hello,
i cant get rid of these fireflies. Im using a hdr environment to lit my scene. Everything else is perfect but i cant reduce noise/firelfies in this area. I reduce max sample intensity to 15 checked my glass material and i cannot find any issues. Im using a light material for the car lights with an intensity of 4. Any tips what i can do next? Noise Level is about 1.9%. after two hours of rendering.

Cheers Christian
