Ciao :) which kind of program have you used ? Is it 3ds or c4d ? beautiful work !

i've used C4d!

Very nice how you play with the images & feelings of past and future.

This music is very well chosen and creates strong emotions in context with the images.
I was spontaneously thinking that this short movie is actually a nice inspiration for a sci-fi blockbuster. :)
One that doesn't live from high-tech gadgets like in "Oblivion"... but from a subtle feeling of the lost past and being in far future at an undefined time - provoking a strong feeling of nostalgia & homesickness.

Who wrote the music?

thank you for your compliments! music has played a fundamental role for the whole mood, it's true! it's made by one of my favorite composers, hans zimmer, from the interstellar soundtrack (track: Hans Zimmer - Cornfield Chase)

hello guys, this is the video I made for my master's degree in architectural design at the University of Florence. The video moves within my thesis project, the re-use of an old building in Verona. The images that are interspersed with the video are like "Memories" of the project.

while in attachment you will find some renderings

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Volume Material - Inside Mode
« on: 2019-06-23, 10:54:20 »
It needs a 3d input to one or more of the channels (absorption, scattering, emission). For example, the native Cinema 4D Noise shaders, set to Object (or World) mode. You could use a texture map, but it would have to be projected through the volume in some planar mode.

You can see the examples from Max which are the same thing, at https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=21091.0

It's ideal for fog or mist that has structure to it, or even more solid objects. Sneak peek from the Corona Renderer 4 for Cinema 4D release blog that shows the difference (this was a C4D noise into the Absorption channel only):

EDIT - PS if time allows I will re-render this with a smaller Step Size to smooth it out some :)

ok! but no option to use ground distance, like on 3ds max? I don't find any special shaders on cinema4d

I hope so! It's a game-changing feauture... I don't understand if it's an in-core feauture or it's specifically project for 3ds max

[C4D] Feature Requests / Nvidia AI Denoising for C4D

Is there any chance that the new Nvidia AI Denoising, implemented in Corona for 3ds max, is also implemented in Corona for c4d? I saw some videos and it seems incredible ...

[C4D] Resolved Feature Requests / Re: AIO sun-sky

would be great if corona introduce the "vray aerial fog". If i'm not wrong, vray have this feature in the 3.4.

"The VRayAerialPerspective atmospheric effect simulates the aerial perspective effect, the result of viewing objects from a distance through the Earth's atmosphere. The effect is similar to fog or haze. This atmospheric effect works together with VRaySun and the VRaySky to calculate an approximation to the aerial perspective effect."

guys as a photographer i tell you that shift is very different from tilt. We talked about this in a previous post https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=16562.msg104381#msg104381

i attach here some image that explain the difference. Last thing, if shift is the same of tilting, why lens productors make tilt shift lens?! for example: Nikon PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED, Nikon 19mm F4E ED PC Tilt-Shift, Samyang 24mm F/3.5 ED AS UMC Tilt-Shift, and many many others. With tilting you can also make interesting DOF effects, check the works of Olivo Barbieri called "Site specific". Tilting is not an must have feautures, but can expand a lot the creative possibility of using corona render...

check  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt%E2%80%93shift_photography in the paragraph Camera Movement > Tilt for more info. Please implement this feature!

shift correction is different from tilt correction. In the first case you only move in X-Y the focal plane, in the second you rotate the sensor plane. In my opinion have the tilt correction will be amazing, i miss very much this things from vray camera

Hello everyone!

This is my latest project made with Cinema 4D and Corona A6

I also made a very short video render in low resolution (1000x666), setting the max pass at 60
