Title: Corona Multi Material
Post by: lupaz on 2021-02-02, 16:04:04
A new material that is the same as CoronaMultiMap but for the inputs it takes full materials instead of maps.
This will allow to randomize different materials on each mesh element for example, each with different reflection maps, etc...

This would be really nice to have. Reporting it for further consideration.

I'd like to bring this up again to be considered for the list of new features/poll. Thanks.

hey that is what I'm looking for.
Is there already a way to randomize different materials to a group of objects?

Hello

You can already achieve it with the CoronaLayered material and CoronaMultiMap set to black and white, and a little bit of setup.

That's cool. Have no idea how to set it ip. Would you mind to share a picture of your node editor with that set up?

I'd imagine it could be something like this. You could also change seed and/or slot frequency of each multimap to get even more randomness.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. A really time saver for complex materials.

+1, I could use that feature
(the CoronaLayeredMaterial is a good workaround, but it's long to setup)
