Hi.
I would like to point out this event which took place after the installation of Corona 8 RC5.
I can't say if it is isolated and related only to my computer, but I preferred to report the event in case you want to investigate.
I cannot replicate the event because I am in the process of delivering a work.
On my iMac I have two copies of the Cinema 4D R21 installation: Corona is installed on one and Vray 5.2 on the other. Yesterday I upgraded from Corona 8 RC2 to Corona 8 RC5. Just long enough to take a look and then I resumed working with the copy of Cinema with Vray. Everything works until I open the V-Ray VFB: when I try to launch a rendering, after a few seconds from starting, Cinema 4d closes completely. I had to completely remove Corona and Vray installation, including license server and Chaos Cosmos. After I reinstalled only vray.

Cinema 4D R21
iMac (Retina 5K, 27 pollici, 2020)
3,6 GHz Intel Core i9 10 core
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB
MacOS Big Sur 11.6 (20G165)

Is there a specific reason to have Corona and V-Ray on separate C4D installations?
Other than that, I think the issue is mostly related to the subscription/license.
Are your Corona and V-Ray licenses registered under the same user account? (same email address)
If not, I think that's the main issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards.

Hi!
Yes, Corona and V-Ray licenses are registered under the same user account (same email address).
There is no particular reason why the two software are separate, just a personal choice. But if you think it's better for them to be together I can do it, it's not a problem.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Although it's not necessary for them to be together, could you please try the following and see if the issue persists?:
-Re-run the Corona installer (use the latest official release from our webpage) to install Corona on the same C4D installation where V-Ray is.
-Make sure to use the "Custom" installation type during the process, and also make sure that the Chaos License Server checkbox is enabled along with the Chaos Cosmos checkbox
-Once installation is successfully complete, then visit the following address on your web browser: http://127.0.0.1:30304/
If everything is working as expected, you should be able to see all of your licenses (Corona and V-Ray)
Then, see if the issue persists, I mean, try to reproduce the issue following the same steps as before when you've noticed the issue for the first time.

Salutations.
I was finally able to install Corona 8 in the final version. There is no longer any conflict with the Vray installation.
Thanks to all the Corona staff for the new version
