Hi, i just wanted to share my recent work with Corona.

The scene is Full CG. Textures are from Friendly Shade. Corona Sun and Sky with Volumetric Fog is used only. No extra lights, even for the interior shot.

These pictures contain no massive postwork. Camera Raw conversion only with tiny cosmetic touches. That's it!

As a random uneducated guess: Do you have the 16-bit Bloom performance option enabled by chance?

No, it is turned off. I tested with turning it on and the whole render gets black after the B&G calculation.

Hi, i have a strange result which i never noticed before when using bloom and glare. Is this something related to the latest builds? I'm using the latest from 15th.

Those stripes streching across the whole image. Corona Sun and Sky is used here.

I tried several things now and i noticed that it depends on the ground brightness of the environment. So if there is a reflected patch of the sun then it procudes wrong shadows.
The brighter the enviroment on the ground or the brighter the geometry diffuse colour, the contact shadows get inverted.

Increasing the shadow amount sometimes compress this effect but shadows remain off. I couldn't notice any difference with both GI solver.

Rayswitch override for gi channel fixes this issue in many times. But for me this is a workaround. It would be good if the catcher is more trusty.

I thought the other topic is specified for the ghosting and reflections issue in dome mode. This one is mainly related to strange looking contact shadows.

I run into this issues very often. The shadowcatcher is producing wrong shadows at certain angles or light situations. Contact shadows look inverted and there is also ghosting visible in dark aeras. See front angle samples. On the rear wheel (left hand side) you can see through the car slightly.

This issue is common by many users.

Note: changing the "Shadow amount" makes no difference.

I have this issue since bloom and glare is released. I run into this very often and i noticed that it happens with reflected highlights. Same light source which is visible directly to camera would produce better results. I hoped that this gets fixed with Corona 2, now i hope with Corona 3 for some progress.

And it doesn't matter if tone mapping is on or off. See attachment.

There is something wrong with corona bitmap in dome mode.. if you zoom into the object in your scene the hdr is zoomed too.. like the asphalt ground is getting huge.. if i zoom out everything looks ok. Please check.

somehow i cant get Optix dll working.. I installed custom with AI Denoiser checked. I even installed twice where i then got messages that everything is already installed and skipped.

I have a GTX 1070Ti.. any ideas?

disable your antivirus for a few minutes and re-install, avast blocked the corona installer for me this time, usually it only gives a warning.
uninstall corona completely then reinstall it

Still cant get it working... the AI Denoiser doesn't even download properly. Also tried the latest installer 2018-08-15 with windows antivirus disabled.

I just run into something with CoronaCam. I just wanted to export some Corona Cameras as FBX but when i import them in another scene they are imported as dummys. Then i've tested same export import procedure with max standard cam and everything worked fine. Bug or max restrictions? Thanks!

Hi, yes the possibility to save 16 bit TIFFs is definitely something we would like to add into CIE. It won't be in 1.7 though.

Will this arrive with Corona 2?
