Hi Benjamin,
Thank you for your answer! Yes, I used an infinite white background with the shadow catcher but as Mirco says it doesn't work with glass bottles. :(

[C4D] I need help! / Compositing with shadows
« on: 2023-12-19, 19:53:10 »
Hi everyone,
I have a little problem with the composition of a cocktail glass and its shadows in post-production. The customer asked me for an image saved with a shadow but transparently to manage the color as desired. The problem is that glass is naturally not easy to manage because it behaves in a certain way compared to the backdrop used during the rendering phase (in my case white). So I was wondering if there are correct settings to ensure that an infinite studio allows different background colors in post-production in objects made up of glass + liquids, or do they necessarily have to work on them?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks Beanzvision! I know the performance settings. I mean something like the corona diplacement modifier. It would be very useful for optimizing animations by keeping the displacement low in general and increasing it only when detail is needed. Let's say a kind of "LOD" for textures (like unreal). I don't know if I was able to explain myself.

Hi everyone! Do you know if exists something similar in C4d for displacement optimization? (see the attachment)
Thanks

Hi, everyone! This is my entry for the #amagicalchristmas3d contest.

Of Christmas, or rather of my Christmas, with this image I try to tell you what you will hardly be told; everything that is not particularly important, because it's easier to be fascinated by the results than by the paths; everything that exists between the beginning and the end, between the expectation and its fulfillment. I don't know if I succeeded in taking you "into my chaos" or if you recognize yourself a little in this disorder, in any case, I hope you like it and if it unlocks even some very small emotions, I'm even happier.

the c4d scene is attached in my original post.
Here is a screenshot.
It doesn't matter wich format or VFB or preview it's just black and white
I had the same problem recently. I solved it by at least enabling reflection in the sky with only visibility and not GI.

The new project is not positioned exactly on the existing one but about 1 meter further on for reasons of distance from the border. It's a bit complicated to explain ... however the architect told me it was correct. But I agree with you that at first glance it may not convince

AHAHAH I know but it's actually perfectly positioned where it should be. I think it depends on the shot taken on a terrain that goes very uphill and which is taken from above. If you open the behance link you can see the existing building, attachment point. Anyway thanks for the interesting remark.

Gallery / Virtual room for VALAREA APP!
« on: 2021-11-12, 12:43:09 »
Hi everyone!

I finally find the time to publish this 2020 project! The virtual meeting rooms made for an app called Valarea.

The project involved the creation of a series of virtual rooms in two main conditions: daytime and with the lights almost off (for the moments when one is waiting to access).

Collaborator: MircoTosti_studio.

Please check the full project on behance at the following link so you can enjoy all high resolution renders
