as suspeted, I update every Node to corona 9 hotfix 1 And it is OK
And chaosScatter works on every node now !  yeah !!!

Hi,

I bump into an issue, we recently change our workstation network to 10G.
All node remain with their onboard 1G integrated network card.

I change back my ip adresse to old one, so all licenses could communicate as before -> 192.168.1.101, ( fixed DHCP managed by our Internet box.)

6 nodes works perfectly, other never run.

And there is the issue; Some node connect and everything fine, other don't, they keep parsing, looking for a master there never find.

I Try:
- reinstall corona 9 as administrator
- rue DR server as administrator
- Check Port 19666 , it is open
- Dr server.exe is allowed trought firewall

any clue ? please

Hi,
back from many days of test, logs files, exchanges, answering with Qnap Support.
And guess what, It is not there problem...

So here is copy of last exchange.
-

1. Files can be edited from multiple clients simultaneously using Corona Rendre, which means SMB functionality is no problem.
2. Corona Rendre doesn't calculate the correct result via SMB, but it's not software supported by QNAP,
So if the customer wants to use Corona Rendre with share, this is a feature request.

Any clue ? Might have wait for a move from you guys or just Use custumer support where I buy Qnap, and exchange it with a Synology....

Hi
yes I use Mapped network drive but we use those for more that 3 years now. Never had any particular issue.

I m actually chatting with Qnap technical to find the issue. All pointing to nas issue

AS I try To copy all data to a simple PC and re run 3dsmax Scene, and it was all OK , 500 Mo scene + 3.3 Go proxy/maps/hdri.

I kept you update If I find anything, but seems an Acces file error as answered before

Hi, It defenitly seems a files acces error.

I Copied all file to a simple PC with folder acces for every Render node, and all works Ok , many time.

Next Stop Qnap Technical support. To bad for a 2000+€ Nas...

Keep you update If problem solve.

So I take some time to try.
All 3dsmax 2022 are update with last SP and Security
All forest / railclone / corona 8.2 / bercon maps / atiles/ anima are update all same version.
All pc have access to Shared network

No error on Corona interface, Nothing pops'up
DR log seems ok

I will restart my debug scene, to see if any thing pop's up.

So far the only thing we have to do to get it working is have only 1 render node check. It works perfectly. As soon as I check  another one, issues/errors happend again.
Exact same thing on my associate workstation, same error One node Ok, two or more errors.

Try Another thing,

To convert Proxy back to mesh.
I only did this on One proxy, the bigger one.
See attachement, errors...

Than I try a different approch, Use only one node at a time.
And all works ok. What ever node I select, Everything is OK.
But If I check more then One, Errors Are Back

Anyone bump into this issue?

HI,
I have a very weird issue on many scenes.
No to try debuggind I started a new scene from scratch.
1-  juste one Map for models + corona sun sky . Render onmy workstation Alone Ok, Render + Distributed rendering Ok
2- Scene scene + HDri ,  Render onmy workstation Alone Ok, Render + Distributed rendering Ok
3- Scene scene + HDri + PROXIEs (trees),  Render onmy workstation Alone Ok, Render + Distributed rendering Wrong.... My Main workstation refuse to show and use proxy?? how is it possible. I know it is my worsktation as render takes some times to run on DR. And Immediatly Proxy does not show up.

IR Is OK, Alone Render Is OK,

All files are on my Network, Stored on a Qnap, All is Ok, acces Is ok, Cable are OK,
All max are up to date, All plus have same version, Corona is 8.2, Max 2022 last SP.
any clues ?

To answer :

There are no Instanced Camera in the scene.
We click Automatic vertical tilt, as in your screen grab.
There are no other special thing, just a moving and rotating camera.

Our other AMD 2970wx Station, does a bad tilt shift too .

Hi,

We are a small studio, we just add our last big workstation AMD 3970x to the render farm, and we get into trouble.
We have a camera sequence on a corona cam with Auto tilt Shift enable, All frame render correctly execpt all those of the AMD 3970x.

The 3970x OVER/Under tilt shift

All pc have 3dsmax 2021 update 1 / corona 5 hotfix 2 , forest/rclone/.... are all uptodate.

Is it and know issue ? Does Auto over and animation is a bad bad bad decision ?

Hi,

I don't exactly remember how we manage to remove this error but you might look at the foloxing steps:
-Does every PC have exact 3dsmax Version and SP (service Pack)
-Does every PC have same folder configuration c:\program...\3dsmax
-Same Windows and Update Version on each PC (Win 10 Pro 11xxx)
-Do you mix Intel and AMD processor?
-No animation on Scatter, you may have click animate button without noticing it.
