When using Cubic-mapping on material tag, UVW randomizer does not work as intended if bitmap is in CoronaBitmap-shader. If native c4d-shader it works. But we all wanna use CoronaBitmap since we wanna save our RAM.

Right cube has native bitmap in UVW randomizer.
Left cube has CoronaBitmap in UVW randomizer.

Please fix this :)

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Convert scene - CoronaBitmap not added
« on: 2022-11-08, 08:18:53 »
I was reading that Convert scene function would also add CoronaBitmap to all native bitmap loaders - which would have been awesome. But that is not the case. Possible to add as separate function? "Convert all native bitmap-shaders to CoronaBitmaps"-funtion in menu?

(Corona 9 latest version)

When creating scenes in RC2 on Mac with Cosmos assets, many assets loose maps when same scene is opened on RC2 on PC/Windows.
See attached message appearing in material editor. Mostly happens to leaves/vegetations.

Not sure if solved in RC3 - because I uninstalled RC3 due to wrong normal maps in RC3/Mac.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Teamrender fails on highres images
« on: 2019-11-04, 13:21:53 »
When I try to render a 5000x5000px image on my 9900K and my 1950X as slave it keeps failing showing this message:

Frame synchronization failed: Communication error

Both PCs has 64 GB RAM. Both uses Windows 10, Cinema 4d R18 and Corona 4 Hotfix 3.
The image I try to render is a multipass-layered EXR. If I up the "Client update interval" under TeamRender settings to 60, the image renders until finished. It takes much longer though than rendering on one single machine. If I render without multipass it also works. But also slower than using only one machine.

Both PCs connected via ethernet. Using Cinema 4d Native renderer in multipass in same layer/passes config works like a charm. So it is totally Corona-related.

Some numbers during my tests:

5000x5000 multipass rendering

Multipass TeamRender: 1 hour and 18 minutes
Singlepass TeamRender: 32 minutes
Multipass only on 1950X-machine: 32 minutes

So right now, teamrender is basicly totally useless. Since it is slower than using only one machine.

I have a sample scene to upload in private if someone at support wanna have a look.

[C4D] General Discussion / UV tiling in CoronaBitmap
« on: 2019-03-14, 08:28:47 »
Hello!
Is there any documentation/information about the CoronaBitmap and its features? I was under the belief it could be use for adjusting texture tiling etc like a "basic" projection node - but maybe misunderstood?

I really miss a feature like Octanes transform node. It's really good and useful. Transforms UVW for several bitmaps in one go!

Hi!
I have added hair to an object and made some different Takes to adjust object rotation etc. My problem is that the hair does not follow along in the takes. Not sure this is a Corona issue or a Cinema 4d issue (or an bad user-issue). Any tips? Uploaded test scene on Corona Upload-page.

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / Team Render 300% Slower?
« on: 2018-05-21, 09:10:28 »
Hello!
I am running the latest beta:

Full-speed non-debug version
Build timestamp: Feb  5 2018 10:06:48
Version: B1  (core 1.7)
Cinema version: CINEMA 4D Studio R18.057 S
Plugin status: initialized successfully

When rendering a job on my iMac workstation I end up with a render time of 10 minutes. When I Team Render including my old MacPro dual Xeon (E5620) render time ends up in 30 minutes. I am clearly doing something wrong.

Anyone got a clue?
