Many of your would probably agree that playing around in your favorite suite is a really fun and rewarding thing.
Just playing with massFX or cloth can be surprisingly fun...

...but rendering is always the little speedbump that kills the buzz.

But thanks to Ondra and his crew, that's no longer a problem :) with his little treasure that is Corona!

I present: Iron Man driving a car!

I was just testing out some camera work in max, and wondered what Corona's motion blur abilities were.
Soon it escalated to a combination of hdr, shader & camera tests. But I enjoyed it all the way.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a search thread function.

Is there a way to import this test scene into Max, without having to manually enter camera positions from the 'export.scn' file, and having to re-locate all the textures?

Whenever I import the export.obj into Max, all I get is the geometry, and a warning which says it couldn't locate the textures, since the textures are called "material_1137681376" when the importer is searching for them (it says material_1137681376 not found), but on the hard-drive it's called "000000006742CAF0.jpg" for example.

I want to do a comparison between A6 and A7, so I'd like to add a faux-SSS object and a motion blur object into the scene for the render.

Cheerz,

This is one of the effects I was looking for, among dispersion in refraction, SSS, and volume/3D Noise materials, thanks.
But, sorry, I do not seem to be able to locate CoronaColorMapper. I'm using v6. Could someone point out my fault?

Pardon, but I do not seem to be able to locate CoronaColorMapper. I'm using v6. Can somebody point out my fault?

yes, actually it is more complex,
but my quick setup still looks better ;)

Hey thank you very much for posting this.
I just came online to check for some carpaint help, and bam, there you are.

The blend function is simple but effective. I too was looking for a multi reflection setting, like I would do with a finalRender arch material.

Thank you very much!
It's great and exciting to see it developing. I'm always curious what will be added/improved next
