In the Render Setup, open system settings and enable Devel/Debug options, then head on over to Performance where those settings will be shown and you can choose the random sampler there. IMPORTANT - it is not intended for production use, so you will want to be sure to return to the default sampler once done (5D High-D Stratified). Hope this helps!

If you wanted to use VRWarps and add a new one to the scene, it should be possible (though I haven't tested this) to simply do a very low quality render with the new warps, save that to a temporary Corona JPG, then copy and paste the metadata into the old high quality renders, replacing what was there previously. For manually editing the metadata, I find Photoshop's "File Info" the best way, the metadata is in the Description there.

Information on the metadata is on the blog post here, under the "Behind the scenes on Warp points: https://corona-renderer.com/blog/corona-vr-android-release-and-other-updates/

The video for how to use it (though it's pretty intuitive) is at

The Desktop Editor lets you create (or edit) warps in post without re-rendering:

Hope this helps!

Corona 1.6 Demo Refresh

If you've tried Corona before and your 45-day trial expired, you'll be glad to know we have automatically refreshed the demo period to give everyone an extra 14 days! Simply download and install 1.6, and you can activate the refreshed demo period right from within 3ds Max. Enjoy!

As mentioned, those are things we have in mind for the development of CoronaVR, not things that are necessarily already present in the beta version.

For any project requiring things like branding etc, you would have to currently contact theConstruct directly to ask about that in the meantime. But those items are part of the plans and considerations for the development of the beta!

Thanks!

TY for the feedback! Definitely the CG artist is not the final client, except at the enthusiast level :) Usually it isn't even the architect, but rather the "real" client is the end viewer that they have in mind. That is how we see it too. Branding etc. is definitely important too, as is packaging what is visible to the customer and what is not. So those things we already have in mind.

Examples of projects set up for delivery to the real end-users do already exist, e.g. Recent Spaces have some good examples :

Hope this proves useful!

CoronaVR is co-developed with theConstruct. However, CoronaVR is in beta and pricing has not been specified yet (though plans are that there will always be a free version) - if CoronaVR is all new to you, you can catch up on the details on a couple of blog posts:

Hope this helps!

Send along the ideas, we'd love to hear them :) If I remember reading other forum threads, you'll have done this via Mantis as Feature Suggestions, so that is awesome if so!

The current plan is focused on improving the workflow for what it is today. For longer term, we'd like to see what it is that users request most often before coming up with any "next steps". As with all things Corona, feedback from you plays a very large part in the direction! With it being in beta, don't want to look too far ahead yet as everything would be very much subject to change at this point. Best place to watch for news about it is on our blog, and here on the forums too of course.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it, and ty for giving feedback on possible features!

Awesome! I always love all things VR, it is a great experience being "inside" a scene and getting a true sense of space and depth - I am always surprised at just how huge a change it is from viewing a 2D version :) If anything can't be shared publicly, can always send it across to grimes@corona-renderer.com.

Hi!

Just as a note, though the VRWarp helper object isn't in C4D, you can use the Desktop Warp Editor to add your warps to your images after rendering. It can be downloaded from here: tiny.cc/warpeditor

There's a beta tutorial available on our YouTube at

This will allow you to fully use CoronaVR from C4D, just that you have to create the warps after you render, rather than embedding them in the render (for the moment, at least). Hope this helps!

Most welcome, hope it helped some - if ever you do experiment with such a map or arch-viz plan, I would be interested to see the results :)

[C4D] Resolved Feature Requests / Re: denoising and DR
« on: 2017-04-25, 13:27:59 »
If I am interpreting the request correctly, then this is already there - you can create multiple VirtualBeauty render elements, each with a different Denoise amount (which would let you mask between them in post to have different Denoise amounts in different parts of the image). It is the same functionality as in the 3ds Max Beauty render element.

I think this one is there already:
