[C4D] I need help! / Perfume Bottle Caustic...?

Hi,

I was trying to get caustic, when ticked caustic in refraction... it turns to black, also saw some links and tried that.... but no luck.

In 3D Max road map, it is fixed... no idea its applied in C4D also or not yet....!

[C4D] I need help! / Glasses refraction ands reflection

Hi,

Stuck in a scene where glasses are in-front of each other.
Back glass is bending a lot. I tried to reduce the IOR to 1.1 to 1.6 but all same.

Any way to get glass effect without bending back glass...?

[C4D] I need help! / HDR image as area light

Best way to use a hdr light image as area light....?

No texture slot in Corona Area light. Placed HDR in Self Illumination... it needs more multiplier power to illuminate target area and IR is more noisy and passes 300+ to clean render on other side a simple area light needs do this in 15 or 20 passes for clean render.

How you use HDRI as area light...?

Hi,

Anyway to get illuminate inside candle jar area....?
Flame is not enough to illuminate inside jar.
If I add one more sphere light..., it show sin glass and by deactivating visible, reflection and reflection... then not illuminating jar area.

Any other trick or just possible in post-process....?

Hi,

After 2 or 3 hdri change over sky.... IR does not update it.... passes runs but no IR update with new hdri, have to stop and start again.

Can be fixed... update IR as HDRI changed...?

[C4D] General Discussion / Corona in C4D and 3D Max

Hi,

I was chasing a simple scene tutorial which was done in 3D Max with Corona 2.
When I am doing in C4D, seeing Texture is over saturated and light area is burned more. I am not getting the same result.
May be some display or linear workflow issue... no idea. Any one tested.... and confirm it....!!!

And one more;
In Post, whats the maximum highlight compress number....?
1 to 10 seeing clear difference but after 10 to 20 very minor and above 20.... to 100 or 200 is same.

Hardware / My new PC for work

Hi,

I am new to PC, I left when it was Windows 97 and started Mac. I never had problem in OS, drivers.... I mean smooth system, never got system error in my Mac OS life.

Please see this... what you think, these specifications are ok with windows 10.... for work and render.
Because I am seeing at other forums, mostly are driver issues, dont install this... update this... installation issues which makes me crazy in work. And I saw... its make so noise and need extra cooling.

Your suggestions will be mark-able and appreciated.

In Multi-pass, when using interactive LightMix, it always adds 2 skies, 2 skies for....?
Then I have to remove one.

Am I doing some wrong or it works like this....?
