Starting from early releases of Corona by present one (alpha7) Corona Render (so neither Blender front-end does not work) stops working (Corona.exe stopped working...) upon startup on Windows 64 /AMD Phenom X4??
Is this intended, if not - how to solve it ??

That's weird, I have two Phenom II X6 1090t with Windows 7 SP1 rendering 24/7 wihtout any problem, no crash at all.

Do you use the standalone or the max plugin? I use the max plugin.

Cheers.

I have never used Corona standalone or Blender version, but I assume there is a legacy release, wich is the release you should be using, because the CPU you have needs the legacy version of corona, sincei it has no support for SSE 4.1 AFAIK

There has been times when I reinstalled the farm nodes that I mistakely installed the non-legacy version of corona (daily build) and Corona crashed max at the start, may that be your problem? not using the legacy release?

Please bear in mind that since I don't use the standalone or the blender version I don't know if those two have an installer that installs the appropriate version or if you install it manually.

Cheers.

I can't give you that info simply because I don't know at all :)

Maybe Keymaster could chime in and clarify this for you, I'm not sure where to download the standalone :P the only thing I found is this:

https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=905.0

In the dropbox folder there, you can find two folders for each release, the latest one, from the 15th September, has two versions, Release and Legacy, see if that works for you.

Cheers.
