In the newest daily build of Corona Renderer 6, we have brand new lens effects!
You can find them in the VFB Post tab, and then tweak your bloom and glare using the built-in aperture editor.

Share your results, ask questions!

Great stuff!
The only thing I wanted when using it was the ability to record a preset

Yes, it's not yet integrated with the presets (nor the Corona Camera or CIE), but that is coming :)

Would there be a fallback to previous bloom and glare appearance?

Yes, the new effect is optional. It's a single checkbox.

Oh my bad! In the pre-release internal build, it was not saved in the VFB config, but in this daily it IS saved, so you can go and save your settings for it now :)

What do you mean "out of order"? You are not able to check the "Custom aperture" checkbox?

Sorry for the confusion.
And yes, I'm not able to check this checkbox.

There's a checkbox inside the camera rollout of render settings. If you opened a scene created prior to this daily build, you will need to uncheck this box in order to use the new effects.

Got it. Thank you very much

Great stuff guys!  is this one based on vray's bloom and glare? or it's internal research from corona team alone?

Yes, it's based on the V-Ray bloom and glare and the UI is reworked Corona-style. :)

That's nice to share Corona Features to V-ray and V-ray to Corona. Eventually, everybody is so happy

Actually, as far as I remember the story went like this:
- Vray had bloom and glare
- Corona had bloom and glare
- Most users liked the Corona bloom and glare better, so they wanted it in Vray
- Vray implemented an even better than Corona's bloom and glare
- Most users liked the Vray bloom and glare better, so they wanted it in Corona
- Corona implemented the Vray bloom and glare

So that's really a nice example of sharing features and the healthy competitiveness between Corona and Vray - like you said: in the end, everyone is happy. :)
